He looked almost terrified, she thought. It was kind of cute to a point but it wasn't exactly something that she was proud of at the moment. If anything, it embarrassed her to know anything about the situation. After all. There was nothing good about terrifying a person if it wasn't even intentional, she thought. Whatever. There was nothing that could be done about something like that. She listened to the groans and creaks of the farmhouse, shifting on her chair. It seemed pretty old. Made enough sense. From what she did know, the farm had been there for years. Her family's old house was just the same. Creaky and dilapidated over all the years of children running around across the floor.
Maybe she could convince him of something. That this was perhaps his father calling for him but she supposed she wouldn't push her luck until after the other fed her breakfast before anything else. No reason to cause any trouble to anyone who was doing her a favor as of present. She glanced up from the table then, crossing her legs one over another. "I'll have some of those then. And if you happen to have any whipped cream. They only taste good with that." She dismissed him with a wave of her hand, turning away to look at the rest of the house again. It seemed nice enough to live in. Small things like that, she thought, were what made life kind of comfortable in the place. Nothing that she was unused to.
When the other returned to her, the gears started turning again as she turned her gaze back to the other. Following the small movements that he were to make. Juniper shifted in her seat, a slight snicker escaping her parted lips. Did he feel uncomfortable around her? How funny. He must have been terrified even though she had done little to startle him. Just a little earlier. She supposed it made enough sense. Childhood fears could carry so far into a person's life.
Juniper moved, getting up off of her chair quietly before walking over to help him. "Good job," She teased, moving to help him clean up the egg yolk on the floor. She leaned back on the counter, glancing up at the other then. "Are you alright? Didn't sprain anything, did ya?" She moved to cross her arms over her chest, glancing at Miles again. "Or is this your polite way of telling me to get out?"
