All to his undoing however, because the moment she had better control of her breathing, and he had pulled back to breathe himself, she gathered up whatever was in her mouth that she had been unable to swallow and spit it at his face. It hit him straight in the middle, where his scar was located. What was with her and his face? Cassius released his hold on her throat, straightened up, but didn't let her move. He just watched her for a moment, staring down at her with pure rage, letting her feel the fear before he did anything to her. A drop of the blood and saliva that had stuck to his skin dripped down on her. He was at that point where he didn't really have enough words for his anger, so he decided to unleash it on Carrigan instead. After he had wiped away the mess she had done to his face, feeling the roughness underneath that was his scar, Cassius slapped her across her own face, then put one hand over her mouth and the other on her throat again. She was in it for a death wish, and he was too far over the edge now to go back. While she struggled underneath him he could all but smile wickedly at her. This was the end of their little game for tonight, he thought. He would make her pass out, then carry her back to his room at the inn so she couldn't escape him anymore. Even how much she struggled against him, he was too strong for her. She wouldn't be able to even move him an inch. "Now what are you gonna do, you little witch," he gnarled at her. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,bTable][atrb=style, width:200px; background-color:#eee; padding:10px;] You'll never dream of breaking this fixation You will squeeze the life out of me Carrigan did nothing.
He asked her what she was going to do, and she wasn't going to do anything.
Cassius' head eclipsed the moon, and everything was dark except for his outline. She could feel a soft throbbing on the back of her head, where it had hit the cobblestones violently when he first choked her. She didn't realize until now, but her hair was probably sticky and wet back there. And her mouth was warm with blood, too. It choked her in it's taste, overflowed out her mouth and poured down the corners of her lips.
Her face smarted from the hit, which she should've seen coming. But spitting at him had just been too enticing, and her own blood and saliva ran down her cheek. Ah, she had properly baited him now, she thought as she struggled for air against his skin. He had come undone, he knew he had lost. And the only thing he could do was punish her for it, but it wasn't even punishment.
It was victory and it was fantastic.
By choice, she just stared at him. She stared unblinking at him, without fear. He was getting her blood on his hands, and for some reason she liked the sound of that. Without meaning to, she coughed pathetically. It made her throat hurt, her whole body clenched beneath him and then she was sure that her head was bleeding, too. Her throat was sore under her fingers, but she didn't do anything. There were a few things she could've attempted, but Carrigan didn't mind.
She blinked once, twice, and then her eyes went half-lidded like a cat and she was very happy just to feel his hands on her when she coughed a sputter once more. Her body wrenched for an inhale and only found his skin, and then things went black again.
