Although he and his brother are twins, Carmine was always the smaller, daintier of the two. Everyone mistook him as Luca’s sister until corrected of their error. He tried everything to appear more masculine yet he could never grow any facial hair or build any kind of muscle on his slender, curvaceous frame—even his mannerism sabotaged him. Their constant traveling to various vineyards through his life proved to always set him back no matter how much progress he made in convincing people of his masculinity so he was always doomed to fail.

He realized, after the death of a dear aunt and their inheritance of her property, that the traveling wasn’t so bad. Of course, he did like the idea of having a single place to reside up until a bet with his brother with the vineyard as a prize landed him posing as a woman and forbidden from saying otherwise. Now he has no choice but to let people think he’s a woman and do everything he can to make sure his true gender isn’t exposed or he can’t win against Luca. He has a year to get kissed by a man in addition to his cross dressing.
