Silvanus’ parents were not necessarily bad parents, but their priorities weren’t in the right place and therefore their son was often left with relatives while they worked. They were too caught up in advancing their career to spend the time with their child. Nevertheless, his childhood wasn’t a particularly horrible one although it was one that made the boy acquainted to loneliness. He knew his parents loved him, but he longed for their presence. They could never really understand that.

A delicate boy, the young albino was prone to sickness due to his albinism. When his parents realized the city air did him no good, they moved away to Sepalum Peninsula in hopes the country air would do him good. Of course, that meant they had to leave home often to keep their demanding jobs back in the city. He was old enough by then to stay home by himself and they were home on their days off. Silvanus had no complaints as he had fallen in love with the beautiful town and its people.
