The entirety of the Grey Family is magical.
Quentin and Jana Grey had met towards the end of their college careers in the city, and after dating for four lovely years, they were to be wed. They married on a gorgeous spring day in their mid-twenties, and made their magical lineages into one. Two years later they were blessed with a baby boy whom they named Connor. Seven years passed before Connor beagn to plea for another sibling and the couple decided to try again for a second child. Fate smiled on the family and graced them with a beautiful, healthy daughter - Charlotte Morgan Grey.
The blonde grew up with a rather ideal childhood. After her birth, the Grey family moved to Sepalum Peninsula, finally deciding that the calmer environment was more suited for Connor and Charlotte's growth. The girl was raised with manners and poise and an empathy for others; trained to be a proper 'lady' and given stimulation in a variety of extra-curricular activities. Her parent's years of raising an ornorery boy had taught them to teach with a patient and fair hand - they never struck Charlotte, rarely yelled (not that they needed to, she was so well-behaved) and all-in-all, were superb parents. They cultured their children's magical heritage from an early age, and by the time Charlotte was a child, she already had a decent amount of experience with her abilities.
Enough to give herself a pair of cat ears. As a young girl, she was obsessed with their household cat, Oliver. On an impulse, she decided that she wanted to be a cat, too - but because she didn't have the skills to entirely turn herself into a feline, she gave herself permanent ears instead.
It seemed like a good idea at the time, and to her releif, Quentin and Jana weren't too hard on her for the rather odd addition to her appearance - they decided to praise her for her magical "prowess". Much like every other child, Charlotte and her brother attended school, and they both earned very high marks, both graduating high-school close to the top of their classes. Connor moved away to college and, every now and then comes home for a visit.
Charlotte remains living at home with her loving parents, too afraid to leave them. She helps around the house and plays music for them, when she's not practicing her magic, wandering around town or working at the Inn as a waitress.
