history

Very little has remained constant in Ezekiel's life - save for a bipolar and what he would call "crazy" mother. His father was around for a decent portion of his childhood, which naturally allowed for a strong bond to form between the two. A bond which was, unfortunately, severed when the poor, disgruntled husband decided that he could no longer put up withhis wife's predictable, ridiculous antics. Ezekiel was abandoned to hold his own in a neglectful and manipulative household, though why his father didn't save him from the environment, he never knew. The scarring he suffered from the abandonment remains as a wound that still hasn't entirely healed. The boy soon collapsed in on himself in a bout of depression - he was quiet, reclusive, and didn't care about much. Lack of high finances left the mother and son frequently moving from house to house and city to city, the threat of homelessness always lurking in the shadows. Ezekiel quickly learned to keep others emotionally at bay, afraid of becoming attached.

As the latter of his teenage years went by, Ezekiel grew exponentially bitter towards his mother and absent father, though he was still successful in maintaining a relative sense of self in the face of her abuse. She wasn't family to him in any sense of the word, and so he constructed make-shift ties with the hood-rats he found in the streets wherever he was living at the time. They sympathized with his destructive home-life and served as well-enough friends. Luckily for him, too, he wasn't all that influenced by their delinquency. He graduated from high-school by the edges of his teeth at the age of eighteen, but soon after the celebration he and his mother moved, yet again. They found themselves in Primula Town, and there they have stayed, in a tight apartment and still very much fighting for a living.

Ezekiel only interacts with his mother when absolutely necessary. Otherwise, he works for himself and makes his own money as a blacksmith And being the legal adult that he is, he does whatever he wants. Within reason, of course.

• Ever since he was old enough to channel his hurt into anger, Ezekiel has hated the last name he inherited from his father. "Lynch" is his self-given surname. Hardly anyone besides his mother and his master know his real name. He also generally dislikes being called by his full first name - it's too impersonal and formal for his tastes. He prefers his nickname 'Zeke' - though there are a few who have called him 'Peter' or 'Pete' after his middle name. Do so at your own risk.
