history
as far as some of his protégées are concerned, katniss is perhaps as old as dirt itself. perhaps older than the dinosaurs and so forth. although, he begs to differ. he grew up in a particularly normal family. he had one nonmagical part and one magical, however genetics seemed to weigh in his favor and katniss, unlike his three other sisters, had inherited the more magical side of the family. prior to the discovery of his powers, katniss lived a particularly boring and dull life much to his chagrin.
he was constantly dressed up by his sisters who, although they were sometimes bitter over their lack of magic, doted on him more than need be. it eventually just became something normal to him to do. to dress in women's clothes. and with his soft facial features and thin body, it seemed like people were all too convinced of the fact he was a 'woman' anyways. which more or less explains why he is the way he is now.
around his sixteenth year, his powers peaked and apparently so did his growth physically. his parents promptly sent him off to be trained and learn how to control his own powers and abilities. eventually, he came to full control of his powers. although, he remained generally young while his siblings aged and had kids of their own. they grew up, knowing that their uncle would never really meet with them while they continued.
since then, katniss moved away from his old home to relocate to primula town where he trained multiple others in how to use their abilities in a way that it would not harm others. he now lives in a small house in the middle of the woods where he continues to live out his days. painting idly and waiting for company to come should he even have any come to visit.

- in complete honesty, katniss never does any of his chores by hand. more often than not, he can be found doing his laundry or washing dishes without so much as ever touching it. he uses his magic mostly to do housework. outside of it, he sees no real purpose.
- he paints in his free time. he seems to find great joy in doing so, although he does not sell any of them. the life of a starving artist is tough but it isn't anything he can handle. not that he minds. he's no picasso after all.
- katniss will never ever disclose his real age to anyone. it isn't that he's old necessarily but saying that he's twenty-four just sounds better than what he actually should say. not that he looks a day older than what he claims himself to be.
- he has a strange fondness for disney movies and can be found humming along to some of the songs. his favorites lie heavily in the princess movies although he will deny it if ever asked about his obsession.
- katniss is necroleptic. he has a bad habit of falling asleep just most everywhere without really ever meaning to fall asleep. but he does. he believes it developed as a result of a spell gone wrong one day with one of his old students. it doesn't really cause him any harm so he doesn't seem to mind it. although it is strange to find him sound asleep in a bowl of cereal probably.
- he has quite the family. two parents, three older sisters. all of which sisters have kids, making katniss an uncle. although the kiss strongly believe otherwise. how could their parents be siblings with someone like him? magic seems to have skipped this generation however. much to katniss's dislike.
