Thank god Salem didn't have to waste his days at school anymore. It left so much more time for more important things, like video games and drinking and hanging out with his friends. Just because he finished school doesn't mean that he was planning on doing anything substantial with his life.
Usually his group hung out in alleyways and behind shops, so that's where the blue-haired leader was waiting. Somehow he became the top dog of the gang and they all ended up following his orders, even if his orders weren't really orders and just like suggestions. The group of kids basically did whatever they wanted.
So, he waited. He might've been a bit early but he didn't know. It was a safe bet considering no one else was here yet. Hell, he didn't even know what they were going to do today. Tipping mailboxes and picking pockets were fun enough but that kind of stuff got boring after a while.
And it's not like they did anything super illegal. They didn't run around and kill people for no reason. No, the gang was more the result of suburban boredom; a bunch of kids who didn't have anything to do, so they just cause trouble. Sal didn't think of himself as a criminal, anyway.

Dax was doing that thing again where he walks while using his phone. He couldn't count all the times he's tripped, bumped into people, or nearly gotten trampled by horses around town. Just as his thumb hit the send button, he staggered on a rock and his entire body went into a panic - arms flailing, dirt kicking up as he tried to regain balance, and his hands when into a vice grip on his cell phone do it wouldn't accidentally fall and shatter.
Once he gained his composure he looked around and realized that he was actually where he had been heading... which meant...
He turned his head and saw Salem waiting around for the rest of the group. He must have watched all of that, huh? Dax suddenly felt embarrassed, heat coloring his cheeks. He jogged over, a flustered look on his face. "Oh, hey dude," he greeted, stopping first in front of Salem but then awkwardly moving to take his side.
Dax idolized Salem a bit, even if he never vocalized it. Salem just always seemed cool and well put together, where Dax was on the nerdy side and had poor coordination. He felt most comfortable with his friends or alone with his computers... But Salem, he could do anything! Or at least he could in Dax's imagination.
"You're here a bit early, huh?" he asked.

Usually, he ended up getting distracted whenever he tried to go somewhere. Almost always anyways. Today, though, was no exception. He had tried to stay on schedule. He really had but he had ended up seeing a butterfly and then thinking about how pretty it was and then thinking about how pretty the sky was and then he ended up following a cloud shaped like a bunny all the way to the lake. ... yeah. He just wouldn't tell the boys that. Vivian wandered back into town, his hand digging into his pocket to take out his iPod, scrolling through the songs quietly. His other hand resting on his headphones, the indigo haired teen yawning as he held onto it. God, he hated living here but it wasn't all too bad. He tapped the screen gently, slipping it back into his pocket. He twisted around quietly as he wandered into Primula again, looking for any sign of the others gathering in the business district. He couldn't say that he disliked the guys, honestly. It was cool to have someone to hang around most often, he thought. The guys caused trouble too but it wasn't anything like super bad. It wasn't anything that they could get arrested for so he was cool with it. Although, he couldn't say that beating up mailboxes was exactly exciting after the first couple times. Or the first time really. Vivian lifted a hand, waving over at the two quietly before letting his arm drop back down to his side. They were quite the bunch, weren't they? A techie nerd, - and he meant that in the best of ways cause he didn't even really know how to work a computer - , an awkward dork, and then there was Sal and Roy. Literally the most put together out of the rest of 'em. Vivian yawned again, moving one of his headphones to the side as he looked at the others. " 'Sup guys." He greeted them. It was still pretty early, he thought. Way too early for a meeting. Of course with that said, it wasn't that early. It really wasn't but. Whatever. He could bitch and whine in his head anyways. Not like anyone else knew, right? He lifted a hand to rub his eyes before rummaging through his bag and taking out a cookie before shoving it into his mouth. " You guys want one?" |
