Roy had been working hard all day. He was slaving away in the mines, he had a lot to do and it was a long day, and even though he brought back the biggest load of ore that he has yet, his boss still insisted he stayed and watched the shop until closing. Needless to say, Roy needed something good to happen to him and soon. Luckily, his boss let him take a shower and change so he didn't just smell like sweat but was actually pretty cleaned up, with his nicer clothes on. He didn't like working as a clerk and inspector and still look like he just was rolling around in the mud, and smelling like pigs where there to join him.
Roy ran a hand through his light brown shaggy hair, as he looked at all the ores he had to sort and count, to put in their proper place. Yeah, he wasn't a big fan of this kind of work but he had to admit he wasn't half bad at it. So it shouldn't take long, he bent down and began looking through the brighter and prettier ores first. He needed something good to look at. Roy was the type of guy to appreciate the beauty in the world, he liked flowers and gems. So, that's sort of why he got into mining. He just liked those types of things. Not that he'd ever admit that to anyone, he was a man and men just didn't do that.
Roy was interrupted after getting through a little more than half the ores. The bell that rings whenever someone enters had gone off, and he was on his feet and to the front of the counter, to help whoever his customer could be.

Typically, Felicite has her days planned out from when she wakes up to when she'll go to sleep -- it keeps her on track and ensures that she won't forget anything. This schedule, of course, is much easier to follow when she doesn't lose track of time. And, for one of the only times in her life thus far, Felicite completely screws over her schedule.
"Damn it," she curses, gathering her bag and hustling towards the mine entrance. She'd been so preoccupied with trying to find the shiniest ores herself that she'd completely forgotten to go back and help close up shop for the day. She assumes that her employees would've done so, but she still needs to check -- make sure the doors are locked and the merchandise is accounted for. In a place like Sepalum, of course, she doesn't really have to worry about keeping the doors locked, but she doesn't particularly trust the hoodrat clique and suspects she never will.
She makes a noise of achievement when the entrance of the mine comes into sight, happily slinging her bag over her shoulder and shielding her eyes from the late afternoon sun, which will begin to descend, soon, and taking a quick look around. The blacksmith's shop is directly in front of her, but she's looking for the mine shop -- still open, luckily, judging by the lights in the window. Felicite smiles to herself, meandering towards the shop and pushing open the door, a bell tinkling cheerfully over her head as she enters.
The only person in there, it seems, is a young man with shaggy, brown hair. She smiles at him, heading directly for the counter and shrugging her bag off of her shoulders. "Hello," she greets, "I have a few ores I'd like to refine?" She says, pulling a few of the shinier ones from the bag on her own, "Will you be able to do that?" |
