HISTORY Arianna Maria Romano, or Anna, is the younger sister of Aurelio Romano. She was an inquisitive, fearless child, innocent in body and mind and finding challenges with which to test herself wherever she went. She grew up without any extraordinary merits, living an average life with a modest businessman of a father and a stay-home mother; not to mention a brother four years her senior. Aside from her parents, Arianna had a wonderful relationship with Aurelio - he was easygoing and protective of her, and she looked up to him just as much as any young child would of the "big kid" of the house. She earned excellent grades in school, showcasing her bright, intelligent mind at an early age. Life drastically changed for the worse, though, the year she turned eleven. In the luck of a draw, her parents had won a pre-paid and inclusive cruise trip. They accepted without hesitation, knowing full well that they wouldn't have another opportunity to experiences such a luxury in their lifetime. Arianna was sad to see them go, but wished them well, her mind too carefree to even consider any danger in their departure. When her parents neared the middle of their trip and they were temporarily docked, they took the time to send her and Aurelio a postcard, expressing just how lovely their vacation was going. They were due to depart for their next port the very next day, and signed the card with all their love and sent it before returning aboard ship. The Romano children never received another postcard, though. Only days after it came in the mail, the police were on their doorstep, spewing words about "engine failure", "outdated machinery", "sinking" and "drowning". Arianna could hardly process the information, still too young to fully grasp the situation at hand - and still too young to fully understand what it meant to grieve. Life became like a waking dream, surreal and fragmented, numb to the touch and no longer bright and cheerful. By whatever means, Aurelio took it upon himself to relocate, taking her with him to a place called Primula Town on Sepalum Peninsula. The transition remains a blur to the brunette, even seven years later, though she is quite aware of the effect her parents' death had on her. Arianna, being the naturally competitive girl that she was, couldn't let herself stagnate - she could not let herself fall into a pit with no hope of climbing out, and so she channeled her sorrow the only way she figured she could: she stuck her nose in her textbooks even farther, sometimes pushing herself close to illness in her goal for incredible grades. Her parents wanted what was best for her - she wasn't going to give up her success lightly. They would have fought for her. Now she had to fight for herself. Arianna graduated from high-school at the age of eighteen in the top two percent of her class, and has managed to land herself an internship at the newly established Law Office under Marcellus Norman. It is, she thinks, just one more stepping stone bringing her closer to a bright future. One that, even from beyond their watery grave, her parents could be proud of. SKILLS + mining: level one + fishing: level one ETCETERA + She's got a little bit of a brother complex. After her parents died, Arianna clung to Aurelio like he was her last shred of hope, and it's understandable why - he's the only family she has left, so she's very supportive of him and loves him dearly. To her, he can do no wrong. + Needless to say, Arianna is a little rough around the edges. She doesn't often find pleasure in the company of other people, aside from her brother and anyone she doesn't deem stupid - whom are far and few between. When she's not working as an intern, she can be found with her nose in a book or writing short stories; typically in a secluded, quiet place where she can relax and enjoy her time alone. Because fictional characters are ten times better than real people. + While she doesn't enjoy mundane human interaction, Arianna has a soft spot for both young children and animals. She admires their purity, innocence and (in the case of children) potential - things that she finds older individuals lack. + She'd never admit this to anyone besides Aurelio, but she's terrified of the ocean. She's petite, so she's not a strong swimmer to begin with, but after her parents death she fears the open water more than anything else. To her, it's a dangerous, unpredictable place - good luck getting her off of the beach.
