So I've been fiddling around with some coding lately and editing fen's personality and basically expanding on him some, so I thought that maybe we could incorporate some of these things into the profile template. Shoot them down if you want, :[
Appearance box - whilst 9 times out of 10 the character has the default outfit of the FC, they don't always and some have additional accessories/scars/jewelry/piercings/tattoos etc.
Also I think need somewhere to put height and/or weight, and maybe eye/hair colour if it's not clear or slightly different to the FC or the icon chosen. Aaaand I'd like there to be an option to link (not show) images to a picture or two of the face claim for visual reference, and also to save anyone else roaming google to find out specifics.
Likes/Dislikes box - Just a box with five slots for what a character like/dislikes. I think most of what's in the Etc section can go in the LIkes/Dislikes too, from the majority of profiles I've seen.
Personality expansion - Now this is a bit of a personal thing, but I often find it's impossible to establish depth of character with ten words, five for positive traits and five for negative. For example, saying this character is stubborn doesn't say to what extent they're stubborn, it doesn't say why they're anti-social, or how they're optimistic. Also, is a max of five traits the limit or can there be more?
Strengths/Weaknesses - Now this can be an optional thing, but I still think it's something to pursue character depth. What your character is good at and what they're bad at. For example, Fenryl is good at swordsmanship but horrible at singing/dancing. These can be physical weaknesses/strengths too, like Fenryl has allergies, but has good physical strength in human form. I would apply a cap to strengths/weaknesses, and force them to be equal in amount, but yeah it's an idea.
Proposal Item - Something random to finish this off. I thought that whilst some characters might want a blue feather or a ring, how about like...something more personal and special and unique to each character that you can find out with interaction? This is Harvest Moon so it's a thought.

(Too lazy to hit up the cbox so..)
Although the inclusion of the above would help out a great deal with character development (which is always a plus in my book), I am personally against it in this particular instance. Both the site and the series for which it pulls inspiration from are what I would categorize as a "casual experience". Adding more requirements than necessary would mostly likely detract from that sentiment. Perhaps, if they are included, they could be an optional component of the template instead of mandatory?
(Cool idea by the way, even if it sounded like I was downing it...)

Oh certainly, people can do as little or as much detail as they want for these sorts of things. I just sort of want the option to be there for anyone who does want to add detail, rather than excluding the option entirely. [/size]
