THE BEARERS OF ALL GOOD THINGS TO ARRIVE, CLIMB INSIDE US TWIST AND CRY. A KISS ON YOUR MOLTEN EYES ❞ ---- The islands were desolated. Not a single person in sight, except for around the immediate area of what looked to be some sort of resting club outside a peculiar building on the largest island. There were people lying on chairs and basking in the sun, like she had done so many times before on the smaller rocks she had found, peeping out of the water surface. Whenever she had found herself especially exhausted after hours upon hours of swimming, she would find one of them and lie down.
These days she would just find herself a shaded area where there were no people - though finding such a place wasn't hard around these waters - and catch her breath.
Viola was curious, however, about what the rest of the land looked like. She had swam around the islands a couple of times, but the peninsula seemed to have more populated areas. From what she could tell there was a small town situated below a tall mountain, and then there were plains beneath, but that was just what she had been able to see from the water's edge.
She wanted to see more. Not that she would find what she was looking for on land, but her curiosity took the better of her, and before she knew it she had transformed her legs and was attempting to approach the stony shores on the eastern part of the peninsula. The clothes she was wearing covered her naked legs and bottom, but she still clutched it to her body tightly.
The vision of the mountain on the other side was so majestic, and powerful, it seemed like it would tower and topple over her. Crushing her. No, that was silly. It had probably been standing there for a very long time, and was probably going to stand there for a very long time, so why would it suddenly come crashing down now?
Viola clapped her cheeks lightly and shook her head. She closed her eyes for a moment and then looked up at the mountain again. It was still there. Good. A breath of relief escaped her lips, accompanied by a soft laugh as she realised how ridiculous she was being.
When she had reassured herself that she wasn't going to die today by the weight of who knew how many tons of boulders and gravel, Viola continued up to the nearest body of water.
It was a lake, and quite a big one at that. There seemed to be some sort of building in the middle of it -- no, a shack more of it. Perhaps someone lived there? Viola squinted a little to see if there was any movement nearby, but it was only herself there. At the time, anyway. She slipped herself into the pool of water, ending her transformation, and simmered for a while.
She got bored of that quickly, however, and transformed back again to explore more of the land. She was no stranger to water, so there was no way she would leave the ocean for some mere pond. Clenching the fabric of her clothes even tighter, in case somebody came around and saw her, she started heading into the tree-infested place. They looked a little like kelp, only a lot bigger. It intimidated her at first, but then she walked over to touch one of them and it didn't feel so weird. A little like coral, even.
The blue haired woman continued further into the forest, looking up at every opening in the 'wooded sky' and wondering if she had left her previous world and entered a new one. It was just so different.
But then her time was up, and her legs transformed back into the long scaled tail that she had been born with. The sudden conversion and the harsh meeting with the grassy floor took the breath out of her, and she lost control of her limbs. Her hands tried to brace for the fall, but they weren't fast enough, and then she felt a blow to her head. At first it stung, which eventually sent sparks through her head, and finally she realised her vision was slipping. A few seconds later she had faded into unconsciousness, all alone in the middle of the forest. Unlucky for Viola, the longer she was away from water, the less she was like to wake up, ever again.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] | { | "This never ending story, paid for with pride and faith.." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s finally that day. That one day in a week where he and his father are given full permission to hunt. Excitement filled Lee since it is the only day where he actually gets to use his hunting skills. When Lee was still a little boy, his father personally taught him how to hunt. Of course they started with the basic knowledge and principles with it, such as the virtue known as patience being one of the biggest key to use for a successful hunt. Lee’s father pretty much covered everything, from the tracking the prey to capturing or taking it down. Opening the door, he steps out of the safety of his house to be greeted by the sunlight. Lee tugged on his baseball cap to adjust the headwear’s shade on covering his eyes from the sun’s ray. A familiar thump of metal hitting, moreover splitting a wood in half before hitting the trunk used a base for the work. Lee watched his father cut the some of the logs for a few seconds, obviously concerned. Although it’s been almost a year since his mother’s death, he still hasn’t gotten used to his father’s new two-sided demeanor. However without even saying a word, Lee still departed along with his bag full of the things he usually brings along and his hunting bow. The way he hunts is quite primitive but it’s the only thing they can afford and besides, Lee won’t like it if gunpowder messes up his kill. Strolling in these familiar woods, Lee holds a steady focus on the road as he walks, sure he darted his eyes to the left and right time to time, but he’s not really the type move around much when it’s not necessary. A noise captured his attention. Quickly he turned towards the direction where it came from; it seemed like the sound of grass being trampled. It was faint, but seeing how alert he was especially since he’s here to hunt, Lee managed to pick it up from a certain distance. Slightly bending both of his knees, the vigilant hunter began to stalk his way to where it came from. Lightly pushing aside some of the branches that were obstructing his path he got into a fine position in the bushes, Lee then sees this image of a person on the floor who seems to be a mermaid. Without hesitation bursts out from the shroud of green and ran towards her, kneeling down to check if the female mermaid is hurt. Besides the awful bump on her head, it doesn’t look like she’s lethally hurt. Then again, he may be wrong. This is not his first encounter with a mermaid, but this is definitely his first seeing one in the middle of the forest. Unsure of what happened here, Lee is baffled and started to ponder on what to do. His heart compelled him to save her from here, in which he decided to so since it’s common knowledge that creatures of the water staying on dry land for too long is bad for them. The unconscious mermaid that used to be on the floor is now found on his arms. By properly hoisting her on his arms, he managed to pick her up. What to do from here? Well, she needs to be in water. Lee is pretty well versed when it comes to knowing what to find here in the woods. He knew there is a small river that leads into the lake so he decided to start moving. Upon reaching the area, Lee didn’t really have much choice but to dip his own body in the water so he can lay her in it gently. Afraid that the river might just suddenly sweep her away, even though it is highly unlikely, he uses the rope he originally intended to use for his trap to keep her close. He tied it around her body then tied it to his own since he isn’t confident that he’ll be able to pull her with just his hands, especially now he’s wet. Now what? Well he’s not really sure. The length of the rope is enough for him to get some distance in-between them so Lee made his way where the water is shallower. Then he just sat there, eyeing the girl. He noticed the bump on her head. Lee started digging in his bag, looking for the box of band-aids he always carried with him. He took one out of the box and tried to place on her head, which just slipped off due to the water. Not giving up just yet, he took another one out, ready to try once again. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "..We all fall short of glory, lost in ourselves." |

THE BEARERS OF ALL GOOD THINGS TO ARRIVE, CLIMB INSIDE US TWIST AND CRY. A KISS ON YOUR MOLTEN EYES ❞ ---- The image of what she thought to remember was her mother had been such a clear manifestation. She had reached her hand down, while Viola had twisted and turned, trying to get out. Escape. Her mother was going to help her? Of course, that's what mothers did.
"Come on, darling, let's get you out of there. That's no place for a mermaid of the court now is it? Such a dark place, too-- how did you get stuck in there? Did you hit your head and fall? That's alright, you're safe now. No one will be able to hurt you, as long as you come with me."
She had tried to reach out and grab the extended arm, but the more she pulled and stretched the less her mother seemed visible. Almost ethereal. Viola screamed, desperately trying to get a hold of her mother's hand, but there was nothing she could do. She was gone.
Then, she realised, she was alone again. Alone in the wide, open ocean, no one to be seen in a mile's reach except for a few groups of colourful fish. She didn't eat fish, however, and she wasn't hungry. All she wanted was to get rid of that feeling of being alone. All alone. There was no one who wanted to be alone, was there? At least not all of the time. That was impossible.
The last thing she remembered from her vivid dream was swimming frantically around through the coral reefs, trying to find someone. Something. Anything. It was frightening being this alone. Not because she could have been eaten by a whale or a shark without anyone ever knowing she had died, but because there was this terrible pressing force that weighed down on her, making her feel like she was the last mermaid in the entire sea.
That was the last thing she remembered before her eyes started moving underneath her eyelids, and her mind started spinning again, aware of her surroundings. She heard the rush of a river, and then feeling returned to her, and she felt .. something. What was that? It felt rough and uncomfortable, but she could feel her tail being refreshed. She must've found some source of water so that she didn't dry out, but-- there was no water that she had seen before she had hit her head.
As her vision was slowly restored, opening her eyelids carefully so that they would get used to the light - it was still bright, and there were spots of sunlight shining down through the trees - she saw herself submerged in a body of water. It was the river she had heard. But she was alone. No, wait. What was that thing she had felt, the uncomfortable and coarse feeling -- was was that?
She looked down to see herself bound by what looked like to be some sort of rope. It was unfamiliar to her, as she had only ever used kelp and whatever else she could find underwater. Her hand touched the surface of it carefully, aware of the potential dangers it could pose, but retreated her hand just as quickly. Why was she tied up? This made no sense.
Her sight had still been focused in front of her, but when she felt another sensation, this time coming from her head, she turned it around to look for whatever was causing the minor tingle. What she saw, however, made her jolt around in motion, with her eyes shot up and her mind alert. She had been captured -- by a human!
"What are you doing?!" she cried at the being in front of her. She could see it was a creature of the male species, and he was submerged in the water, just as she was. "Who are you?!"
The feeling of the rope around her became painfully evident as she tried to swim away from him. Away from her captor.
Was he one of those awful humans she had heard about during her travels, those who hunted and captured mermaids?
"I don't have anything of value, please let go of me!" she cried again, trying uncontrollably to get free from the bonds she was in. It was no use, though. She was too terrified and drained of energy to give it her best, and so after a few seconds she fell helplessly deeper into the water. Was she going to give in to this human? Had she really given it her everything? Viola tried pulling at the fibers of the rope one last time, but it was useless. She didn't have the strength or the stamina.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] | { | "This never ending story, paid for with pride and faith.." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What am I doing?Lee thought to himself quietly, unsure why he is still bothering himself to putting the small medical piece on her head. He’s definitely considering on giving up now, heck his mind even astray to wondering what kind of adhesive object mermaids use for medical purposes. While Lee is still within the distance of reach, he noticed the girl’s eyes open up. She looked very confused but that quickly transitioned into a full on expression of fear. Lee knows it’s a natural reaction, and more often or not whenever he’s in a similar situation like now he always receives a similar reaction. Her exclamation didn’t startle him one bit. Call him odd but the first thing he actually started to think of his how to answer her questions, but that would soon be interfered as she started moving around violently, trying to free herself from the rope. Luckily the rope’s long enough that it didn’t pull Lee along with her motion, but then again luck is just plain mischievous sometimes. With enough jolts and tugs, the rope managed to go around one of his leg, and as soon as Lee started to move back, only then he got tugged. As a result, he got derailed off his balanced and splashed into the water when landed on his behind. Although Lee’s got roughed up already, he decided to just do what she says and let her do whichever. Sure he wants to make sure she’s alright now, but seeing how she’s able to do all of these, she should be strong enough to move around. Without further ado, he stood up and approached her again, this time to undo the tie he did. He took a few moments thanks to the water, and it’ll probably take more time if she continued resisting, but in the end he managed to free her. What’s next? Well, without consulting or even an eye contact he just turned around since he got the idea he’s just making everything worse at this point. Lee started to walk back on to the dry lands, specifically several inches away from where his bag rested, which is on a small patch of grass underneath the shade of an oak. Lee sat and started to manually wringe his clothes and apparels one by one with his hands. Starting off with his white inner shirt before his outer that’s red, after that it’s his beloved baseball cap. Well he didn’t exactly wringe the headwear; he just tried drying it off a little bit by shaking it around and patting it on its back. Another thing that’s bothering that he must certainly take care of now is the water in his shoes. The feeling of your socks drenched on your feet is certainly uncomfortable, and the fact you can actually hear it squish whenever you walk makes it all worse. Lee takes both of them off and let the water drip out, letting the soil to do the rest of the work. Achoo!Ah, right. Lee’s easily susceptible to the cruel touch and effects of cold. Yes, it’s a symptom that he’s a few steps to actually getting one soon. He turned his head back up and darted his eyes back to the girl with the same dull eyes, if she’s even still there at least. It's quite obvious that he's still more concerned about her than himself, selfless as always. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "..We all fall short of glory, lost in ourselves." |

THE BEARERS OF ALL GOOD THINGS TO ARRIVE, CLIMB INSIDE US TWIST AND CRY. A KISS ON YOUR MOLTEN EYES ❞ ---- The struggle she had with trying to get free from the bonds of her captor had drained the very little energy that she had left, after waking up from a short knocked-out induced slumber. She had done enough to wriggle herself tighter in the human-produced rope, but it had also seemed she had been moving around enough to cause the male to lose his balance.
Viola had to cover her mouth so she didn't burst out with laughter as the human fell backwards into the water, splashing water everywhere. How silly humans were.
She had closed her eyes for a moment to laugh, but when she opened them again she could see the male had already gotten back on his feet, and was now coming towards her.
"W-what-- what are you trying to do--" It looked like he was going to tie her better, probably so that he could more easily move her out of the water. Viola didn't want that, however, and started splashing her tail against the surface of the pool, making the human more wet than he already was.
But before she could do or say anything else, he began untying her. The teal haired mermaid looked up at him in shock, and confusion. Why was he untying her? Wasn't he going to reduce her ability to move so that he could take her somewhere and sell her? That was what humans did, wasn't it?
But no, within a few minutes she was free again. She could move her arms and, if she wanted to, swim away from him. She would've done so within a moment's notice too, if it wasn't for the weird feeling she got off of this male. Maybe he was tricking her. Trying to make her think she was free, but then she wasn't. Well, she would show him.
Viola turned her head away from him, scoffed, and began swimming downstream. This felt great, although the river was too small to move around much in. At least she could move and swim again, but -- what was going on with that male human?
She stopped when she was far enough away that she was sure he wasn't tricking her. Her eyes squinted back over her shoulder, wondering what his problem was. What his deal was. Her curiosity for the second time took the best of her, and she swam back, only to see him resting against the trunk of a tree, airing his clothes.
"Why did you untie me?" she asked, carefully making sure that there was enough distance between them in case she needed to escape. "Aren't you going to capture and sell me?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] | { | "This never ending story, paid for with pride and faith.." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As he anticipated she did try to swim away, far away. It is only natural for one’s instinct to tell them to flee when they are in an obvious vulnerable state. Weakened, tired, or wounded, nobody wants to try and fight while suffering from one of those conceptual ailments, although there are few exceptions like Lee himself. Though she did flee, she came back. Apparently her curiosity got the best of her, and at times a distant cloud that fleets with enigma does lull people’s curiosity. It’s not like she was instantly there when he turned his head back up, his had to adjust his head to the side since her image was almost on the edge of his gaze due to the distance she swam. The very question she asked made him quirk a brow. A mixture of two feelings stirred in him, first one is being inquisitive about the matter, and the other half is being slightly offended of such assumption. It’s natural, isn’t it? It’s alright for Lee if he doesn’t get anything out of this since he’s used to giving, but he’d appreciate it if she bears no ill thought of his action, so again, he can’t really do anything about it. Lee shakes his head as his answer for her question, easy as that. Now enters the harder part, which is explaining without using his mouth, moreover his voice. He can always just leave there to keep it short, but that would be rude, in addition Lee would really like to polish his reputation from her. Lee is familiar with sign language, but it’ll be safer to assume that she doesn’t so he can prevent himself from appearing more of a fool. It’s time for charades. Extending an arm forward he presents his hand with a closed fist on sideways. He poked the index and middle finger out and started moving each back and forth, except both of the fingers danced from different directions. It seems like Lee is trying to portray of a person walking, after that gesture he pointed a thumb to himself, denoting that he’s the person who was just walking along. The young man then pointed at her with the same hand he was using before closing back into a fist to bop his own forehead lightly followed by an expression of what seems to be someone getting hurt then falling unconscious. The sight’s a little comical, but really it’s the only way he can try to deliver of what the situation is. According to such routine, it should be crystal clear that Lee’s not going to be talking at all; in fact he’s trying to convince her that he’s mute. Why? Personal reasons, a habit which anoints his cherished memories and hones his resolve but it’s more of a practice for him, really. Lee picks up his baseball cap that was lying on the ground, placing it back on his head before tugging down further. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "..We all fall short of glory, lost in ourselves." |

THE BEARERS OF ALL GOOD THINGS TO ARRIVE, CLIMB INSIDE US TWIST AND CRY. A KISS ON YOUR MOLTEN EYES ❞ ---- There was a rock in the middle of the river, topping out of the surface of the water, that Viola carefully lay down against. Her arms crossed in front of her, resting on the cool boulder, while the pale cerulean orbs of her eyes gingerly kept watch over the man under the tree.
She was still trying to understand why he had untied her, because there was just no experience that she could take from that would explain why he did what he had done. Then again, she hadn't met a lot of humans before. In fact, this was probably the very first human that she had ever even talked to before.
Sure, there had been the odd observation of the landwalkers as she had swam near the shallow waters, but she had never engaged in conversation with anyone before. Conversation. Wait, he wasn't talking to her. She had asked him several questions already, but he had hardly opened his mouth. Why?
Her eyes squinted over at the human, followed by a toss of her hair in his direction in disbelief when he made no motion to talk.
She kept her eyes focused on him, in case he made any move to try to recapture her. Hell if she was going to let him. She could've swam away from him by now, but she had no idea where she was, or where to swim to freedom. If she just started swimming downstream, she might end up somewhere worse than where she was right now, and that just wouldn't do.
The thoughts in her mind spun into a vivid imagination, and soon enough she was focusing on that rather than the human. Big mistake. He moved.
Viola pushed herself from the rock sharply, ready to swim in case he really did want to recapture her, but it turned out he was only -- extending his arm? It was a closed fist, though! That meant trouble in most languages -- but now he was moving his fingers as well, which just made Viola more confused than she already was. Why was he wiggling his fingers?
With a light tilt of her head and a hand pulled up to her mouth, a soft giggle escaped her lips. He was very peculiar, this human. However, he didn't seem like he was going to harm her with his wiggling fingers, so she leaned against the rock again, and rested her head on her arms, watching him wiggle his fingers.
She had no idea what he was trying to do, but she realised it was some kind of message. Everything was a message for something. But she had no idea what he was trying to tell her. Then again, why didn't he just speak? Was he mute?
"What's with the weird hand gestures? I don't understand at all," she said. He had stopped the movements, however, and was now tucking his cap over his face. Was he tired? Was he going to sleep against that tree? She just had no idea about this human. Were they all like this?
"You're weird."
But she made no motion to leave, and had no intention on doing so either. Where would she go? She still had no clue where she was.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] | { | "This never ending story, paid for with pride and faith.." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Weird.. Weird huh?The young man quirks a brow towards the mermaid, of course this is the kind of treatment he’d receive, it’s only natural. To be fair, Lee is quiet an oddball even if you minus the fact he’s a quasi-mute. Although does seem to be lethargic and just plain indifferent to most things, he’s playful. He’s just not very well versed when it comes to expressing them however. Yes, he is honest, but the normal flow of his gestures and reactions are easily halted by his discipline. Since he was disciplined to be sharp and still on a very early age, this delivery boy didn’t really get to enjoy his childhood much. Perhaps now that he has more freedom due to his age and the capability of carefully managing his responsibilities like a full grown man. Yes, one can rely on such information regarding his past as an explanation for his currently blooming trait, probably a sign of longing to gain the happiness any child deserves on that age. Much like her, Lee doesn’t really know much about her kind. He does in fact wants to know several things about them, since he himself finds creatures that dwell under water interesting. One thing of the many things he wants to know about them is about fresh and salt water, the very difference holds a lot of questions. What does it feel like? Do they smell it like how humans pick up the scent in airs? Can some actually die about the lack of either or? She’d know. He can’t ask her about that out of the blue, he fears that he might shock her again.. or worse, weird her out some more. Another thing that compels him to actually stick around with her is his assumption of the female being lost, she might stumble into more life threatening situations. Clearly, the first thing he should deal with is their communication problems. Time to try the old reliable method of using a stick to write on the ground since its obvious the whole charade thing isn’t working at all. Lee turns his head towards the left before the right, looking for a viable branch of sort that he use as the aforementioned tool to write with. Once he spots a good one, before walking over towards it, mischief lulled him on turning at the female’s direction. Sure he’s trying not to scare her off, but this is just too good to pass off for him, apparently. A quick step forward then swinging both his arms up in the air is his attempt to frighten. Wasn’t really convincing, but hey, he tried. He resumes his way towards the branch not far off the spot he was trying to dry himself on earlier, he started swinging the object lightly, with grace and smoothness, as expected from a student of a martial art that revolves around the use of a sword. He continued his way down the shore, slowly as to at least not to scare her off too far, then he starts writing something on the ground, specifically the patch between the dry land and the water itself, so it was a little muddy, if anything it’s the easiest section to write on. It took him a bit since it was a long explanation, but finally he stopped. Lee takes a few steps away from it; just so she can approach it close enough without him being a threat to her. It says “My name is Lee, a resident nearby. I found you in the forest and brought you here, I was going to go on a hunt which explains the bow and the other trinket, such as the rope itself. You should be more careful next time.” ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "..We all fall short of glory, lost in ourselves." |

THE BEARERS OF ALL GOOD THINGS TO ARRIVE, CLIMB INSIDE US TWIST AND CRY. A KISS ON YOUR MOLTEN EYES ❞ ---- She was still perched on top of the big rock in the middle of the river, watching him. He hadn't made any other moves so far, after making silly hand gestures that made no sense to her. Seriously though, how would she know what he meant? She had been living on the bottom of the ocean for so long, and this was her first encounter with a real human!
Her mind was still bustling about, trying to figure out why he was keeping her company, however. He could have left moments ago, left her alone. Viola wasn't sure whether she would have liked that or not, but at least he didn't seem the chatty type. Come to think of it, it was a little weird how he hadnt even spoken a word since she woke up with that rope around her body.
Before she could ask him about it, though, he had gotten up on his legs again, moving around. What was he up to?
She pushed herself back from the rock, aware that he could be playing her. A hand swept under the water, ready to swim, in case he was planning on recapturing her.
Her eyes were glued to his body as he walked over to another tree - maybe he just wasn't sitting comfortably? That could be a decent reason, couldn't it? But then he suddenly turned towards her with his arms in the air. Viola, while not frightened, was surprised at the abrupt act of the human male. And out of reflex for incoming attacks, she flipped her tail up and out of the water, and threw it down hard against the surface, making water splash all over the human without even thinking.
It didn't seem to bother him too much, though. He continued to one of the branches nearby, plucking it from it's base. What was he going to need that for? He was going to beat her now, she knew it. Was he mad at her? Oh no, should she start swimming, or -- what was he doing?
He really was a weird human - though really, he was still her first encounter. With the branch, the stick he had plucked just moments ago, he was now drawing in the dirt between the grass and the water. Viola crept a little closer when he removed himself from the patch, to see what it was he was drawing, but as soon as she saw the lines he had made in the dirt, she looked puzzled up at him, her head tilted slightly to the side.
It didn't look like anything she had seen before, the lines. What did they mean?
She laid a hand over the word 'forest', brushing it out along with the surrounding lines. Then, she started drawing something on her own, with her finger. It was supposed to look like an anemone, but Viola wasn't particularly skilled in drawing. After she was done, she looked up at the human again, smiling. The cautious part of her was forgotten for just a moment, as she leaned against the bank, admiring her own work. . ; TAGS kenneth with hero ♡

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] | { | "This never ending story, paid for with pride and faith.." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once she started drawing, Lee started watching her do her work. He didn’t exactly get a good look at her when he finished drawing those lines, so he missed her expression if she gestured any signs of confusion, that is. He couldn’t really make anything out of what she’s trying to draw, probably because he’s expecting them to be words like what he made. After she was done, Lee still couldn’t make out of anything of what she made. He tried taking a closer view, or even a better one by slightly moving to her side, just to see what it’s like in her view. After a few more seconds, he managed to finally see it. It’s an anemone. It took him awhile, because again he was expecting words, and in addition you don’t really get to see much people drawing anemones spontaneously. Realizing she just drew an object she had probably seen often back to where she came from, Lee concludes that she didn’t get anything from what he drew earlier too. Communication is really a problem now. There’s just no way he’ll be talking to a stranger, heck he barely even uses his voice to his parents. What should he do, though? Should he just leave? While he was thinking, awkward silence enveloped the atmosphere. While trying to figure things out, he figured that he might as well entertain her. Again, he took the stick back in his hand and started drawing on the floor, right beside her anemone. First piece was done easy and quick, but then he started to do more of the same thing he drew, just in different angles and patterns. Turns out he made a whole school of fish with very exotic marks and long and fluffy tails, they seem to bear great resemblance to a guppy, which is a little hard to make out of without their tantalizing colors. Once he was done with that, he offered her a smile and of course the stick he used to draw. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "..We all fall short of glory, lost in ourselves." |

THE BEARERS OF ALL GOOD THINGS TO ARRIVE, CLIMB INSIDE US TWIST AND CRY. A KISS ON YOUR MOLTEN EYES ❞ ---- Why was she letting down her guard around this guy? Why was it suddenly so easy, when she had thought him to be trying to capture her just moments ago? It was an odd feeling, one that she was aware of, but she still didn't swim away or hide. Of course, she knew to be careful, which was what she was trying to be right now, however much it didn't look the part.
As he moved closer to her - probably to see her drawing better - Viola kept her eyes on him. If he was about to move to hold her down so he could tie her up again, she would know. She would notice, fight, and swim away.
However it didn't look as if he was trying to do anything else than to get a better look at what she had just drawn in the soil. Viola frowned slightly at his peculiar expression, wondering what he was thinking of her drawing.
Did he think it was a bad drawing? Because even though she had never learned how to write underwater - who even did that - she had learned to draw. Except she wasn't really good at it, having only drawn in the sand whenever she surfaced from the sea. Still, her pride was on stake now, and she puffed her cheeks at him as he began drawing something else in the soil.
Wait, what was he drawing - fish? A whole school of them, in fact! Viola raised her eyebrows, surprised and slightly amused. Did he think her drawing to be a joke, or was he genuinely drawing the fish for fun? The little fish even looked quite appropriate next to her anemone.
A smile escaped the teal haired mermaid, as she ignored the offered stick the male had used to draw with and instead continued drawing with her fingers. This time the drawing was of herself, or rather, a creature like herself. It looked nothing like Viola, despite the tail.
While drawing enthusiastically - not even Viola knew she thought drawing was this fun - she had completely disregarded the human's smile. It was just that she had no manners.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] | { | "This never ending story, paid for with pride and faith.." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s an odd feeling for Lee, to not be able to communicate with a completely sentient and intelligent creature that is. He’s utterly conflicted whether or not to make an exception for her. The boy had done it a lot for many people, but a complete stranger will be a first. Well at least she understood what he was able to draw earlier; perhaps they can communicate through it? ’Nah, that will take too long.’ Lee told himself, as makes use of his idle time by thinking rather than watching. Turning his attention towards she recently had just drew on the ground, this figure didn’t demand a lot out of Lee compared to her last one, he figured that it was just like her, a little different, but it’s clear she’s drawing a merperson’s figure. Realizing that she hasn’t considered drawing anything of the land, it’s probably a safe bet she doesn’t spend much time on the land or nearby, then again maybe she’s just homesick or plain creative. Lee’s uncertain, but what he is certain about is that if he leaves her just like this, it’ll just hunt him forever. He doesn’t even have any idea how she got far into the woods in her condition. The young man let out a sigh, she can clearly hear it and obviously it impolite for him to do so, but for some reason, and something told him that he can definitely do it without any problem. Mustering all his confidence and courage to break his very own personal pact, Lee finally decided to speak up. “..You know, this place is dangerous.” His voice is pretty average, some people are only surprised by mainly because they’ve known him for a long time, but they only get to hear it after years. Pretty much how the suspense ends in a movie or so, but that doesn’t really apply at the moment. Using the same exact stick she declined, which he kept in his hand, he started drawing again. He started surrounding her mermaid drawing with trees, before altering her drawing to make it look more like her, accompanied with a rather comical expression of being unconscious. They were all were drawn; it’s probably thanks to how the thin the end of his stick is. Note: Maybe this will help.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "..We all fall short of glory, lost in ourselves." |
