| [cs=2] Today was a day off for Lorenzo, so he spent the day kicking it with his friends around town. They didn't do much other than talk and drink, laughing at themselves and having a great time. Even without a huge party or a fancy feast, every time these guys were together, everything was like a platter for the Gods and Goddess. They ruled the world whenever they were together.
But Lorenzo knew he had work tomorrow, so after a last swig of his drink, he shot his friends a farewell and left. He had expected to leave by himself but one of his female friends had grabbed his arm, clinging onto it with both of hers. He raised an eyebrow, looking annoyed.
" Ah? What do you want, Pala? I gotta sleep! " he said gruffly.
"Just come with me to visit this cool fortune telling shop! I heard the lady's really good and everything she says comes true." Pala's eyes sparkled but Lorenzo's were closed.
" Then go by yourself. Don't bother me. " He looked back at the group. " Or get one of the other guys to go with you. I'm not into fortune telling. " That was true. Some things just weren't meant to be known. But Pala wasn't having it. She stomped her foot and tugged his arm until he caved in. Oh, Goddess...why was this happening. Lorenzo sucked it up and headed over to the shop.
It was a two story building, so Lorenzo figured whoever ran the shop also lived in the second floor. Lots of business were like that on the peninsula. For some reason, Lorenzo felt a chill go up his spine and he suddenly really, really didn't want to go inside. Something...something terrible was going to happen.... He was (almost) sure of it...!
" Wai- " he started but Pala had already opened the door.
"Helloooo?" she said cheerfully. | | notes for kiki~ Hope it was okay. =u= |

It hadn't been a busy day for Aurora, so she decided to tidy the place up a bit. Putting away trinkets that had fallen on the floor or were put in the wrong spot by that ignorant somebody. Her store was filled with magical items, meaning that when you used it the magic enchanted on it would improve or add onto skills or physical attributes. Many came by to check out her wares, and most of the townspeople loved it. The magical beings saw no reason to come, since they had magic of their own, which was perfectly fine with her.
As she hummed softly to a little tune, re-enchanting items or returning others to their rightful place, she heard the door of her shop chime as it opened.
'Helloooo'
Aurora looked up from where she was and saw a woman almost dragging a full grown man into her shop. All she did was laugh lightly through her hand and walked over to them.
"Welcome young lady and sir," she welcomed with a slight bow of her head, "I am Aurora, owner of this shop. See anything in particular you like? Or here to browse?"
Aurora wasn't usually the talkative type, but in this case she always liked to pretend she knew her customers so she could actually greet them without going oddly quiet. Something of a habit she used to have, but not anymore.
"Or," Aurora continued, "have you come to seek your future?"

| [cs=2] "Ooh, future, of course!" Pala said, happily walking deeper into the shop. Lorenzo groaned, looking at the floor. Why was he here again? Oh, right. Her.
Pala beamed at the shopkeeper. "If it's not too much trouble, I'd like to know whether or not I should go back to college.... Or if going back is a good idea."
College, huh? Lorenzo sighed, thinking about his own academic failures. He didn't blame Pala for wanting to try again. He raised his eyes to look at her, and, without meaning to, caught a glimpse of something brilliant.
It was the shopkeeper's eyes. They looked fascinatingly like a jewel of all seven colors of the rainbow. And if anyone knew Lorenzo, they'd know he enjoyed spending his time staring at gems, thinking of nothing in particular.
He pulled his eyes away from her to inspect the shop more. Heh. It seemed this shop had just jumped out of a fairy tale. Everywhere he looked, magic was roaming freely in all sorts of different colors. He could get used to this. But as for the fortune telling....
"So where should we start?" Pala asked, looking around excitedly.
" I'll just wait outsi- " Lorenzo turned back to the door and took a step forward.
"Oh, no, you're not!" Pala pulled on his arm again firmly, forcing him to spin back around. "You're staying put!"
Lorenzo sighed and said nothing else, scratching the back of his head. He looked at the shopkeeper and raised an eyebrow. Hm...her eyes really were like gems. If only he had met her when Pala wasn't around, he'd try asking her out on a date. But, like all the other girls in the past, he knew they wouldn't work out. | | notes |

A soft giggle left her lips as they bickered. It was fun watching people go about their business and personalities in her shop. It was fun to watch anyway.
When the young female asked for her fortune dealing with college, a smile curled on Aurora's lips. "Hmm ... that is a matter of opinion, but I have done such readings before." she told her as she moved her hand in the direction of the booth she does her readings in. "Head on in there and I will be right there in a moment." Another smile beamed from the young gypsy as she went to fetch her crystal ball.
Now now I know what you're thinking, 'This is such a scam. A fortune teller with a crystal ball is always a scam.' Ahh but this ball had something in it, something that Aurora herself enchanted with. It was like a mirror, reflecting her customer's life and who they were, are, and will be. At first when people saw this beautiful and color shifting ball, they immediately think: SCAM. But not this one. This one didn't need to be plugged in, and it actually showed the customer what Aurora was seeing. That was why she had the ball, to transfer her visions to the ball so the other could see. Pretty cool, huh?
Aurora ducked behind the counter and took her crystal ball gently in her hands and walked to the booth where the other two were. She could already see the man with the younger lady thought this was rather ... idiotic. But everyone thought that until they got a whiff of what she could do.
"It is your first time, so I will do this one reading for free," she told the young lady with a smile, "any other readings you wish to have afterwards, a simple five dollars." Aurora gave them both a quick smile before she touched her crystal ball, making it glow with colors and foggy images.
"Are you ready, Pala?"
OOC: Yeeaah she knows her name XD Which I haven't figured out why yet ... Hmmm ....

| [cs=2] The shop owner directed them to the reading booth, and Pala was absolutely ready for the next step. She dragged Lorenzo over to it and they sat down on the two chairs in front of the booth. Huh. Seemed like your usual fortune telling place. And the usual fortune telling place was always a scam. Was this girl for real? Lorenzo scoffed inside his head, already knowing the shop owner was a fake. But hey, who knows. He might get a good show from it. At least he'd be entertained for a few milliseconds.
Sooner or later, the lady came back with, Lorenzo knew it, a crystal ball. Oh, boy. He was done now. This was getting too generic. But he knew that if he got up, Pala would have a hissy fit so he sat where he was, annoyed.
The owner agreed to give Pala a free reading since it was her first time. And as the two women conversed, Lorenzo stared at the crystal ball. Was it just him or were images swimming in and out view inside that little ball? Were those just fake projections? He narrowed his eyes at the ball, and then to the owner, who simply smiled at him.
"I-I'm ready! Totally ready!" Pala let go of Lorenzo's arm by now, staring at the crystal ball with expectations. Her hands were balled up into energetic fists.
Lorenzo could've ran out and escaped; Pala wasn't even paying attention to him anymore. But he stayed.... The show wasn't over yet, after all. And without meaning to, he found himself more curious about the owner. Was she a real fortune teller? Or not?
One thing was for sure: This lady knew Pala's name. Pala hadn't noticed, though. Probably because she was a social butterfly and couldn't even remember anyone she spoke to the night before. But Lorenzo had noticed, and this was enough to give suspicion to the owner.
He waited for the reading to begin. | | notes Sorry he's not talking so much! D8 He'll talk more later, I think. xD |

As Aurora touched the pure crystal ball with her palm, she caught a glimpse of the male in the corner of her colorful gem-like eyes. It seemed as though he did not believe, and yet he was curious as well. His mind must have changed when he began to see the images inside the ball. A small smile curled up in her lips as she put both of her hands on both sides of the crystal, making it glow brighter. Her eyes began to glow slightly as well as she looked to the young woman and the man next to her.
"This reading is a matter of opinion, so I shall give you two futures. One good, one bad, and the reasons behind them." she informed as her eyes grew brighter, the colors in them more vibrant than before.
Images began swirling in the ball, but it wasn't for her to see. Aurora had the visions in her head, her ball was to show the young lady and the male with her. Good images began to show themselves, showing her having a good time and fooling around with some college friends she meets in that future. After a few moments, the images changed into a not so good college experience. Pala failing her classes, and making the wrong choices and the wrong friends. The images fade and Aurora takes her hands off of the ball, making the colors in it fade as well.
"You see," Aurora began calmly, "the first images show you having a great time and not having to worry about failing because you study and do everything you're supposed to do." She smiled at the young girl, her eyes still slightly glowing. "But, the other images show you failing, making wrong decisions for yourself, and making the wrong types of friends. Your actions define your future, and there are two paths it can lead to. If you choose the first path, and I have no doubt you will, you need to think smart and choose your friends wisely, otherwise it will be the second path you walk."
Aurora's visions always came true, no matter how many paths were laid out. It was either one or the other, and with a social butterfly such as Pala, wrong choices could be easily made. That was why she had two visions instead of one. The right friends and the right choices definitely lead to the first path, but the wrong friends and the wrong choices lead to the other. Either way, she was going to college again, that was for certain.

| [cs=2] Was this a trick? It could have been a very elaborate one. Okay, where were the cameras? The crystal ball was showing Pala going down two different roads in life. Pala's eyes grew wide, her expression turned contemplative. She must have been thinking about what she had just been shown. When it was over, Pala stayed quiet for a moment, taking everything in. Lorenzo noticed her hands were shaking. He knew her past wasn't that great, and she wasn't doing so great right now either. But he also knew...she was a good kid. She was young, she wasn't as messed up as he was.
"Can I really do that?" she whispered quietly to him. "Go back to school...? Have a different life? What if I fail?"
Lorenzo sighed, scratching his head. Kids....
He slung his arm around her shoulders roughly to shake her out of her thinking, and then made her face him. " Listen to me, kid. If you want to go back, go back. Nothing' stopping you for Goddess' sake. But if you wanna stay here and be a bum, then you're welcome to join the janitorial group at the school. " He grinned mischievously. He knew she hated cleaning more than anything.
Pala's face paled. She stood straight up and headed for the door, shouting, "No way! Never! I'll apply to a buncha schools right now!" And then she was gone, as quick as wind, which left Lorenzo and the shop owner quite...alone.
Lorenzo, in the awkward silence, stared straight at the owner. His expression was unreadable, as stoic as a robot. The owner was a magical being like him, so maybe that's how she read fortunes. He had known she was since magical beings were able to sense each other's magic. To a certain degree.
And then he made a sudden movement that could have been mistaken for a strike: He extended his hand out to her for a handshake.
" Name's Lorenzo. Lorenzo Baseel. You? " | | notes Feel free to continue the action~ |

Aurora watched as the young girl left her booth in a hurry to apply for schools. The chime of her chop door sounded indicating that she had left to do just that, and she silently laughed when she did. The young lady was certainly ambitious, she gave her that much. When she did leave, the man's arm extended out to her. At first she thought he was going to slap her, but when he didn't and she realized he wanted to greet her, she took his hand and shook it lightly. Hand crafted beaded bracelets covered her wrists. They were of gypsy origin, and it was not hard to guess either, especially with someone who didn't even know what gypsies were.
"Aurora, Aurora Dancer. It is a pleasure to meet you." she introduced back with a soft smile on her face, her vibrantly colored eyes now back to normal ... well, as normal as they were when the two first walked in anyway. "I am surprised you did not know what I was when you first walked in. I thought the trinkets in here would give off a clue at least."
It didn't bother her too much though for most didn't really assume anything. Some people still believed that Aurora made deals with other magical people for the magic trinkets, even though she had never done anything of the sorts. Again, it didn't bother her too much. Let them wonder, didn't matter to her if they didn't want to just ask her about how she got her hands on magical items.
Aurora looked up to the man before her, named 'Lorenzo'. She gave him a smile and leaned forward on her elbows. "Your friend, she is quite the character, yes?" she asked him with a light laugh.

| [cs=2] Aurora Dancer, eh? A fitting name for someone who had eyes like hers. He noticed her eyes had changed color, if just slightly. They were still rainbowed hued but at the same time, different. Perhaps that was her using her magic. They shook hands and then released each other's grip.
" Doesn't matter what you wear, " Lorenzo responded. " Just because I can dress up as a chicken doesn't make me a chicken. And just because you look like a gypsy doesn't make you one. " He judged people by what they wore. He was only mortal. But he didn't let that affect the truth, and the truth was, no one was ever what they seemed. Lorenzo played the role of the lazy, rude, bum janitor role quite well. But not many people knew who he really was.
Man, he wanted a smoke.
" Yeah, Pala's...she a good kid. " Lorenzo put his arm on the table and leaned in toward Aurora, mimicking her. " Hey, mind telling me my fortune? Since this seems pretty legit, I'd like to know what'll happen to me tomorrow. "
He reached toward her and if allowed, would gently stroke Aurora's beautiful long hair, kissing it for good measure, and then letting go. He wouldn't let a pretty girl like her go without showing her a bit of affection first. That wasn't his style.
As for his reading he already knew what Aurora would see. He was actually going to ask her out on a date for tomorrow...to his workplace. Someone had just resigned from the janitorial group at the school so Lorenzo actually needed some extra help. He knew Aurora would turn him down but who cared. This was kinda fun. | | notes |

Aurora nodded to him softly, agreeing what he was saying. But, Aurora never mentioned anything about her attire, or anyone's for that matter. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she looked to him with her gem-like eyes. "I am in fact a gypsy. I was born one, and I was raised as one." she told him calmly, though she did take what he said to somewhat of an offense, but she let that go just as fast. Not everyone here assumed she was a gypsy, even though she looked like one and never exactly wore shoes (unless going out, then she'd just put on a spandex type shoe on that showed her toes and the back of her heel).
After he asked about his fortune, she just tsked softly and shook her head. "I already know your future, and no I'm not going to work as a substitute janitor."
This young lass was quite quick and caught onto things quickly. That was what happened when you became observant to someone speaking with you, and it was useful mind you. Another light laugh escaped her as she stood up, brushing off her rather dazzling skirt that flowed nicely with her lower body and gave him a small smile before heading to the beaded curtain that lead to the shop. She held the curtain opened and looked back to him.
"However, I will take that date."
Aurora waited for him to walk out, seeing no further use of the booth at the given moment, well unless he would like an actual fortune done that he couldn't predict on his own. That would be fun, but she doubted that he would.
