[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,bTable][atrb=style, width:300px; background-color:#fff;] patience, patience gets us nowhere fast LC's house was rotting.
Well, as much as a makeshift tent made from a torn blanket and a bunch of old sticks could. The cloth that acted as the roof to her home was discolored from the multiple stains that had been left by the crude acts of forest animals and goodness knows what else. It was ripped and tattered and held many holes, and was hanging together by a thread. The sticks LC gathered to support it were decayed and eroded, and were barely holding up. And, on top of that, the whole place was rather smelly.
Upon these observations, LC decided that she needed to build herself a new house. That, of course, meant she needed to gather the proper materials. Looking around at the prosperous vegetation of the forest, she didn't expect it to be too hard. She bent down and grabbed the axe she had "borrowed" from one of the blacksmiths off of the ground and began sprinting into the deep woods, eyes scanning the area for a tree that would produce decent wood. Finally, she came across a tree that somewhat resembled a quail and decided that was a sure fire sign to chop it down. LC tightened her grip around the axe's handle and swung hard. But instead of slicing into the bark, the axe slipped out of LC's hands and flew behind her, right into the canopy of a maple tree. LC watched as the leaves shook and something headed back her way. Tilting her head, she tried to recall when her axe gained flying powers, only realizing the true circumstance when the horrid, chorus of buzzes reached her ears.
Bees.
LC narrowed her eyes, for she had fought these fiends before. She hadn't had a victory yet, but she was determined that this would be the day. She tossed her axe to the side and picked up a branch, readying herself. "I challenge you to a duel, great bees of honey," |
[/b] LC proclaimed, aiming her wooden wand at them. "Feel the wrath of my finest spell, the Bitter Bite of the Quails!"[/b] However, it was hardly effective!! The bees attacked LC repeatedly with stings, prone to her magic spell. She knew they had once again bested her. So she decided to run. "I sense---that it would--be best to---retreat now."[/b] She took off, dashing at the speed of light in hopes of outrunning those black and yellow beasts. But they kept up. She could only pray to the quails that there was someone who could save her.[/div][/td][/tr][/table] [/center]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] | { | "Pull the screaming trigger and watch your carcass bleed me dry." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ah, these familiar woods. The place holds countless memories for this young man. His first tree to cut down, his first batch of gravels he gathered, his first deer to be hunted down. Kenneth, or better known as Lee, finds himself sitting on a trunk with a flat surface, right in front of the little fire he made out of wood and dried leaves. It’s time for him to take a break after gathering this much logs for the scaffolding material that one of the clients requested for them to collect. On the bonfire, two sticks arched over it. The sticks were there to hold the salted fish he had stored earlier, before he went out to do his routine. Neither of the fishes was big, but two of these greatly satisfy his hunger easily. He lived nearby, Lee could have always go back and eat at home, but there are just sometimes when he feels like he wants to be closer with nature, if not that it’s probably somewhat close to that feeling. With the use of another stick, Lee began to adjust some of the feeds for the fire, so they burn faster hence making the fire temporarily bigger and stronger. Normally there isn’t much happening here in the woods, the quiet often enthralled him. Sure the birds and every other inhabitant sang, but it’s exactly the soothing tune he’d rather listen to. Numbers of hasty footsteps disturbed the melody; this instantly caught his Lee’s attention of course. He stood up from his stump and took a few steps to where it was coming from. Lee sees this image of a person that seems to be running away from something. He can’t seem to figure out why at that moment, until the buzzing from the swarm started to join the noise. The average human can easily outrun these insects, what’s really fearsome about them is their stamina and relentless capability of tracking down whomever they have targeted. From experience, Lee knows that jumping into water or trying to fight back is fruitless. The young man quickly took the two largest sticks that had their top portions buried deep within his bonfire and as soon as he took it out he turned and let the woman pass before stepping in-between the chase and blew a huge amount of smoke towards the direction they were coming from. After that, he turned and followed the stranger, stopping one more time to blow more smog before resuming to run away even further. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Or drop the gun and try to shake the blindfolds from your eyes." |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,bTable][atrb=style, width:300px; background-color:#fff;] patience, patience gets us nowhere fast LC continued her mad dash through the woods, zooming past trees and bushes and what have you, desperately running for her life to nowhere in particular. She just had to escape from those bees, before she was stung to death and left as nothing but a corpse in the woods. And with an empty stomach, no less.
She was so absorbed in her flight that LC almost didn't notice the dark haired boy she flew past. She would have stopped in her path to protect the poor individual of the oncoming danger any other day, but these were bees we're talking about. He was just gonna have to take one for the team.
Eventually, as LC still kept running, she realized that the sound of buzzing had been replaced with footsteps near in sync with her own. Someone was following her. By God, was it possible the bees had formed into some limb-possessing monster?? LC twisted herself around, turning her sprint into a back-pedal, to see that boy hot on her trail, rather than a bee-monster. She was surprised that he was alive!
"Wait a minute, how in the--" But LC failed to hold her rhythm and tripped over her own two feet, and she silently collapsed and did a backwards roll, tumbling into the forest soil. Shaking it off, LC swatted the twigs and dirt out of her ponytail and jumped to her feet, seemingly unscathed.. "Ahem, you there!"
Now, LC was able to focus a bit more on who this mysterious person was. He looked to be around her age, more or less, and even seemed a bit familiar. Perhaps she had seen him around before? Or, then again, perhaps she hadn't. Either way, LC was positive she'd never spoken to the boy before, surely she would remember if she had. But the more important question was...where were the bees? Did this boy truly....? She quickly stepped around the boy to confirm her suspicions, and they were true. The bumbles were no more. What sort of powers does this boy possess in order to take them down so quickly??!
"...I don't know how you did it, but you...you've saved my life. I am eternally grateful, oh bee slayer! May the quails always be with you." As she mumbled that last part mostly to herself, a whiff of smoke hit LC and from far behind the two of them a fire caught her eye. A curious thought sparked and LC's eyes lit up as she gasped. "Hey, do you live out here, as well?!" . |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] | { | "Pull the screaming trigger and watch your carcass bleed me dry." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ He kept running, he didn’t stop. Both of Lee’s eyes widened a bit when the female stopped on her track and started speaking to him. He didn’t kill them, he just bought the both of them some more time to run away and stop the swarm’s track. If they stopped right now, they will certainly find them again. As soon as Lee is close enough he threw the two burning sticks then stopped and used his hand to pick her up only to pull her back into sprinting again. What Lee did earlier did not stun them or kill them, it might have caused some confusion but some of them can easily get through it, that’s why he made another body of smoke earlier before continuing to run towards her. Okay, it’s given that Lee doesn’t speak up at all, but the real reason he hasn’t said anything at the moment of danger is because he used a relatively good amount of effort to blow the smoke. If he even tries to waste some more air, he’ll end up tiring himself too soon. Lee didn’t stop running along with her for at least two more minutes, he knew that they needed to gain more distance to actually be safe from their threats. Once he had realized that the buzzing has stopped, he too would stop. Lee releases her wrist and leaned against one of the tree, amidst panting really heavily. Talk about enjoying his last break for the afternoon. He turned his attention to the woman, she seemed to be young enough be she reeked of a different stench compared to himself or all of the other beings he had met. Who is she? “…” He stared at the woman with puzzled look on his face. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Or drop the gun and try to shake the blindfolds from your eyes." |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,bTable][atrb=style, width:300px; background-color:#fff;] patience, patience gets us nowhere fast LC was somewhat thrown off when the boy didn't respond and, in fact, kept running at her. She considered asking him what he was doing, but before she got the chance he threw two sticks off to the side--were those his wands, she wondered--and grasped her hand. She was curious as he led her into a mode of running once more. LC quirked a brow and wondered where they were going. Had he not already slain the threat? She was oblivious to the fact that no, he had not. But, despite her disregard of the true situation at hand, LC let the boy carry her wrist in his hand as they ran together to safety.
After a good couple minutes of sprinting, the boy released his hold on her and rested against a tree. He seemed quite exhausted. LC nursed the spots where she was stung and stared at him from where she stood feet away, pondering his strange motives.
Hm...it seems as though he is tired....oh, no, what if he used up all of his energy rescuing me? Upon thinking that the boy was deathly ill because of her, LC felt slightly guilty and wondered what she could do to strengthen him. As strange look appeared upon the boy's face while he gazed at her, LC hurriedly tried to comfort him, for kindness was the best medicine.....well, in this case, anyway. After all, she did have a rather strange way of going about things.
"That was an excellent job you did earlier, sir. Without you, I would have surely died at the hand of the bumbles." |
[/b]She paused, tilting her head as she realized something. "Hm. Mr. Bee Slayer, what is your name? Your real name. Unless it's Bee Slayer. But that's unlikely. What is it?"[/div][/td][/tr][/table] [/center]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] | { | "Pull the screaming trigger and watch your carcass bleed me dry." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Much like her, Lee’s bombarded with a lot of questions. She reeks, who is she? She smells like this place, does she live nearby as well? That can’t be right, first, this is my first time seeing her, and second it should be common knowledge not to mess with beehives without proper equipment? The way she talks is odd too, maybe she’s a foreigner?Since it’s quite often that this young man stays quiet and passive, he found numerous of opportunities to study people. Their behavior, their accent, the way they dress, everything. Years of experience with such habit proved useful, but of course indubitably he was wrong time to time. Without having the comfort to ask anyone, it took him longer to make the information he gets to turn into facts or just reliable data. Curiosity can easily best anyone, so of course he wants to know more about her. Such intention is impolite by Lee’s standards, sometimes he feels like he’s violating a person’s privacy with his way, but the other option is worse for him. Even though he meant no ill intentions about it, but in the end he ends up manipulating them into this play. Lee had done this countless of times and managed to be successful with it. Again, to gain the usual advantage, he decided to play the role of a mute. The young man nodded towards her, taking a few steps to come close to an open area free of grass and picking a stray dead branch along the way. He crouches down before starting to draw his name, or at least the moniker he goes by. ‘Lee, The Bee Slayer’ that’s what he wrote down, even though he doesn’t seem like a guy to be playing around, a twist of fun and mischief is something he expresses sometimes through small details. He stood up after introducing himself then started to motion his hands on each respective shoulder, gesturing downwards and upwards, an action similar when one pulls their shoulder bag up. Since Lee seem to like playing the role of a mute, he had to learn how to do sign languages, although he had learned that not many people knows how to do it so the first thing he does to communicate is to play charades, unless of course if the other brings up the subject of the matter. After doing his bag motion acting, Lee raised a hand nearby his mouth and held it as if he’s holding a stick while pretending to take bites out of it. It’s obvious he figured that he forgot about his bag and his food, now he’s trying his best to tell her. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Or drop the gun and try to shake the blindfolds from your eyes." |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,bTable][atrb=style, width:300px; background-color:#fff;] patience, patience gets us nowhere fast The boy nodded at LC and stepped forward to a land of soil, picking up a dead branch. She watched as he began to doodle letters into the ground, spelling out the words "Lee, The Bee Slayer". LC etched the name into her head so she wouldn't forget it. Lee. Lee the bee slayer. Bee Lee. Yes, easy enough to remember. She wondered why Lee was so against speaking. She'd never met someone so quiet before, so this was indeed a new experience.
Suddenly, Lee began making weird motions with his hands, moving them about his shoulders. Then he began to bite off of an imaginary utensil of some sort, clearly trying to deliver some message to LC. But what was it? Furrowing her eyebrows, LC thought hard about his movements and took a guess.
"You are tired, and you want to sit down to rest and eat?" She said. She remembered the fire she saw a while back, though he had never answered if it was his or not. But even if it wasn't his, it wouldn't hurt to go and look if there was any food over there. Deciding that it was a good a plan as ever, LC began to leave, but seemed to remember something important. "Oh, right. I forgot to introduce myself. My name's LC Crock! I live out here, in these woods, 'cause I'm homeless, well sort of. So that's why I'm out here. But that's all really irrelevant...anyways, a campfire was back there when you found me, I saw it. Perhaps we could go look there for food for the two of us! I doubt those bees are still around. What do you think, Bee Lee?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] | { | "Pull the screaming trigger and watch your carcass bleed me dry." ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rest and eat? Well, he does but if he’s really picky about the detail he’d try to convince her that the fact his bag is back there is more important, but he’s not. Besides, her comprehension of what message Lee was trying to relay is close enough. Once she started moving, Lee did as so as well. For the most part he just continued listening to her since obviously he’s going to be quiet. Her name is LC, probably not her real name or so he thinks. What kind of parents would name their child LC? It means something, but it’s unimportant for now so prodding on the subject isn’t really necessary just yet. He also learned that she’s homeless and lives around the woods, which he finds surprising. Why? For one thing she lives by herself here in the woods, just the woods, nothing more, and nothing less. He thought that most people would actually have a home in this age or at least be in the city or village like those beggars, but it seems those who are even less fortunate are bound in such secluded areas. Then again when Lee thinks about it, it’s easier to survive in the jungle full of greenery than in the jungle of urban areas. You are at least free from the system and ever so demanding social conventions of this era. Now the second thing he’s surprised about is how he never had seen her before. Lee’s been working around these areas for more than five years now to help his father out, but this is the first time he actually came across her. He turned his head’s direction towards her before shaking his head as form of his answer to her question in regards of those nasty bees. Eventually they would reach the small makeshift camp he made; only to discover both of the fishes he was trying to cook earlier is now burnt. They still seem edible but he doubts that they would taste well. With a disappointed look, Lee makes his way closer to take one of the sticks. The woods don’t seemed burned badly, but as soon as he came in contact with it the heat begun stinging his receptors, alarming Lee with the pain due to the heat. He didn’t want to snuff the fire out just yet so instead he fully grasps the piece then planted the end of it on the ground, deep enough that it just stood there so it can start cooling down. Lee turns his direction back to LC, uncertain to what actually do he just shrugged both of his shoulders. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Or drop the gun and try to shake the blindfolds from your eyes." |
