In a middle, a woman with bright orange hair sat, staring at the grass with her hands wringing out the fabric of her skirt. A grey messenger bag laid beside her, it's content spilled across the grass, but one in particular was set apart from the rest surrounding her, a small silver charm bracelet haphazardly laid near a tree near the edge of the clearing she was in, a small dent in the trees bark was an indication that the little bracelet had been thrown with much force, and possibly a hint to the young woman's mood, that is, if the hunting knife stuck to the tree as well wasn't obvious enough.
The woman sighed tiredly as she raised her eyes and looked up to the skies, grey clouds hung over head and quiet distant rumbling could be heard. "It's gonna rain soon..." she mumbled quietly, as if warning herself but her body refused to move. She was tired, sad and just completely unwilling. Today had simply been one of those days where she couldn't keep up being nice all time. Today was a day where she, meek, quiet and kind Adina could simply be just Adina. She just wanted a few moments to herself where she could think what she wanted, say what she wanted, do what she wanted without the fear of judgement, of ridicule, of...being hated.
It's been years now, yet still Adina wished her parents didn't hate her. "I'm pathetic aren't I? I'm just...I don't know what to do...I just want someone to tell me what I should do...I'm so...I'm...I'm lost." Without restraining herself like she usually did, Adina let out a an inelegant sob, tears pooling in her eyes and slowly rolling down her cheeks, her shoulders shaking and her hands trembling as she unconsciously tried to hold on to some control over her emotions. "P-Please..."
Without her noticing, the clouds opened up and slowly put surely, a constant downpour was let loose over the the area, soaking her to the bone and the sound of rain muffling her sobs.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,4,true][atrb=valign,top,true][atrb=class, TIMEBOMB] It was like a time bomb set into motion ✵ Connor wasn't sure what he was doing out about in the forest anymore. At first he was distracted by a deer, and well he started following the animal as though it were one of his own animals. However, it wasn't one of his own animals, and the moment that Connor was caught following it, the deer took off into the unknown, leaving Connor in the forest surrounded by a bunch of unfamiliar trees and as good as lost. His sense of direction wasn't exactly the best, and it didn't help that his luck was virtually nonexistent.
The problem? Connor completely ignored that fact, picking a random direction and wandering in it. He hoped that he hit civilization before a creepy cabin in the woods, but who knew what would happen when he was involved.
Eventually, though, Connor came to a stop when it started to rain. He knew that it was going to happen eventually, but he didn't think it would rain until after he made it out, and he cursed his rotten luck as he pulled the jacket that he brought along tighter. The rain progressively got harder, and Connor was certain that he was just getting deeper and deeper into the woods, until he came across a sight that wasn't the same as the greenery on the floor and the towering trees.
The dent in the tree, the tears, the way her shoulders shook. Looking around, Connor half hoped that there was someone around other than him, someone that had more experience in comforting saddened people than him, and when he didn't find anyone, he stepped closer with caution.
"Here." He said, sliding off his jacket and holding it out. "You should put that on before you catch a cold."

"D-Don't touch me!" With all the force she could muster, she pushed against whomever was in her personal and pushed away from them. Crawling a few inches away from them she addressed the stranger with calm rage. "W-who...What ..." her words became lost as she looked upon the stranger. "You..." This stranger looked...well, the best way she could describe it was...haggard, if the bags under his eyes were any indication, but it could also be because she just pushed the poor man.
Realizing what she'd done, she moved back to his side. "I-I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean...I was...I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed in distress looking over at him frantically to see if she had hurt him somehow. "Are you hurt anywhere? Are you in pain?" She kept her hands from touching him, she feared that should she make contact, she might just injure him worse.
"I'm so sorry."

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,4,true][atrb=valign,top,true][atrb=class, TIMEBOMB] It was like a time bomb set into motion ✵ He wasn't sure what he was expecting when he appeared out of nowhere and placed the jacket on her. He definitely wasn't expecting for her to flip her lid, though, pushing against him with a surprising amount of strength. Stumbling backwards with a "oof", her crawling away only put more distance between the two of them. He blinked for a moment, trying to process what exactly had happened before shrugging. If that was her way with dealing with it, then so be it.
"Me?" Had she seen him before? Connor wasn't sure. He was certain that he'd remember someone like her, or at least that he would remember something about her. Having the orangest hair to ever orange seemed to be a trait that wouldn't be forgotten easily, but Connor was afraid that he'd already succeeded in forgetting even the most notable of features.
Just like that she was right back to him, and Connor could have sworn that she either teleported or he spaced out. Somehow the latter seemed a little more practical. "No- No really- It's fine. I'm fine. Well, as fine as I'm going to get." He chuckled, hoping to relieve some of the awkward tension that sat in the air. "I think the real question is if you're okay. Not everyone just sits out in the forest in the rain, you know?" He shot her what he hoped was a reassuring smile.
"Maybe we should find you some shelter, though? Before one or both of us catches a cold."

If anything, if just made her feel worse about her actions. 'He's being so nonchalant about it...Isn't he angry?' She pouted in confusion, but soon enough her pout turned into a gape. She sated at the stranger before her completely perplexed.
"Y-You're concerned for me? After what I did to you?! H-How could you be so..." Her voice rose slightly, but soon her words trailed off as she bit her lip. She couldn't exactly tell the man off for being kind, that was just absurd. "I-I'm fine." She didn't even bother to hide the tone of her slight ire, nor the fact that she had practically replied through gritted teeth.
Her bad mood, and spiking temper simmered down slightly when the stranger suggested they find shelter. She would have told him that she's be fine and that it was only water, but she had to account for his health. 'He looks like he's already sick.' With a slight sigh she began to gather her belongings one by one. When she got to her hunting knife, she pulled it out of the trunk with little effort, but when she bent down to pick up her bracelet, she hesitated. Taking a deep breath, she picked up with shaking hands and placed it back on her wrist. Once she was done, she picked up the jacket that had fallen to the ground when she pushed this stranger.
"Here." She said as she pulled the jacket over his head. "Cover up. You need this more than I do." She tried to smile at him, but it lost it's effect as she refused to look him in the eye. How could she possibly face him after being so rude, and cruel. "You're..." She tried to find the words to express what she wanted to tell him, but couldn't find them. "...nevermind. Um, I think I saw a cave or something somewhere here..." Looking around in the clearing she tried to remember which direction she'd seen the cave. "If not that...there's definitely a tree big enough where we could duck down at...it's not too far from here...I think. W-What do you want to do?" Looking back at the stranger's direction, she still refused to make eye-contact with him so she settled for staring above his head or his ears.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,4,true][atrb=valign,top,true][atrb=class, TIMEBOMB] It was like a time bomb set into motion ✵ He felt his mouth draw into a frown, eyebrows furrowing as more concern clouded his face. If he didn't look so exhausted, Connor would have looked like a concerned parent. Instead, he would have wondered what was wrong with the girl as she questioned his concern for her, before dismissing it with the thought of him not being one to judge those sorts of things. "Of course I'm concerned. You look like someone just ripped out your heart and stomped on it." What with the hunting knife sticking out of the tree that he could only guess she had thrown with surprising accuracy, and the bracelet that lay on the ground.
He hated to be the one to point out the obvious, but usually it was up to him in the end to do so. "Which is it this time? A boyfriend, friend or parents?" Guessing that she didn't look too old, there was a large area where someone like her could be upset. The three things he listed were some of the main ones - probably the only other being a dead pet. But she looked more upset than anything, and being angry at a dead pet didn't seem particularly normal. Plus, he knew first hand just how horrible parents tended to be - and he was afraid that depending on her situation he could sympathize.
She picked up her belongings, and before he knew it his jacket was being put on him. He finished the job while she gave him a half-hearted smile that told him she was still feeling bad about pushing him. "You should stop beating yourself up about pushing me. I'm not hurt, and I care a lot more about how you're feeling than myself." It was probably evident in the bags under his eyes and the slightly pale skin color he had. "Trust me."
While she continued to refuse to make eye contact with him, Connor was left with the decision on what he wanted to do. A tree didn't sound to comfortable, and a cave was definitely going to be their better bet when it came down to it. "How about we look for the cave, and if we can't find it we'll settle with a tree?" Foolproof and perfect for him, Connor decided to wait for Adi to respond and start in a random direction.

She pouted and subconsciously put a hand to her chest. "It's not really my heart that was ripped out. More like...my spirit. It's hard to explain." Her voice was a little hoarse from sobbing, and her legs had that awful prickly feeling as the blood circulation tried to return to normal. Nevertheless, she began to walk in the direction she thought the cave would be located, not bothering to see if her guest was following.
"Trust you? That's kind of hard to do, especially in this situation. Though I suppose I would the more untrustworthy, since I'm the one with the knife and unstable emotions and all." She tried to make light of the situation, but afterwards she berated herself for her feeble attempt.
"About what you said, there is no one particularly at fault. And if I think about it...the fault is pretty much all mine." She continued to speak to the stranger, but her eyes remained down cast on the forest floor. Could the fault really be all hers? Was it her fault she was the only child they could conceive, was her fault for being female? She knew she was being ridiculous at this point, but her rampant thoughts all seem to be pointing to the same conclusion, no matter what she thought, it would never repair her relationship with her parents. "I guess you could say, I just simply didn't live-up to expectations."
"Also...what were you doing out here? Especially in your condition." She questioned, not really expecting an answer but she continued on. "You really should be resting, all this rain and walking around can't be good for you."
