[cs=2][atrb=valign,top] social FAMILY PARENTS: father, mother SIBLINGS: younger brother and sister OTHER FAMILY: none notable PETS: oren, a golden retriever WORK JOB: blacksmith shop owner SOCIAL STATUS: middle OTHER PROPOSAL ITEM: silver ring physical STATISTICS HEIGHT: 181cm WEIGHT: 173lbs APPEARANCE EYE COLOR: green HAIR COLOR: white MEDICAL INFORMATION ▸ has a number of scars on his body but not many too deep. the one most notable is a huge scar that runs down his back diagonally. it's healed and doesn't hurt anymore, but it's easily noticeable personality + creative + social + energetic + cheerful + curious + hardworking + thoughtful - selfish - moody - proud - stubborn - insecure - reckless - meddler BACKGROUND INFORMATION having grown up in primula town, cain is very very familiar with it. he was one of those kids who would run around and try to explore everything it had. he'd get bored easily, and would take to exploring the peninsula, climbing up trees, playing with the animals. oftentimes, he'd bring the other town children with him, leading them to wherever he deemed had a "worthy adventure" lying next. it was amusing, if it wasn't dangerous. but that was cain - adventurous, reckless, and loved anything risky. which was why he had a hard time with being a blacksmith. oh, he did it for a while - he had no choice. being the son of the resident blacksmith, it was practically "in his blood" that he become a blacksmith. it wasn't that he didn't like it, he enjoyed it to an extent, but he didn't like the idea of staying in one place. cain wished to see the world, to see what was beyond the peninsula, but whenever he voiced it out, his father would cut him off, saying he was supposed to take over. he was good at what he did, that much they both knew, but it wasn't his passion. he loved his parents, and especially his father (although he would never admit it out loud), but he wanted to see the world. and it was when he was ten that a traveler passed by the town. cain, curious as ever, went up to him and immediately chatted him up. a warrior, he called himself. cain had never met one before, but he was curious - so, so curious. and when he saw the said warrior showing off his skills, saying he'd learned them by traveling around the world, cain realized that's what he wanted to do. of course, his father was against it and got even harder on cain and his smithing. having had enough, at seventeen, he ran away. at first it was just mostly to travel, but then he found a city - a city with warriors and fighters. he trained with them, learning the basics until he could go off on his own, which he did at nineteen. from there, he traveled the world as much as he could, taking up jobs that required someone who could fight for money. sometimes he'd join competitions. he enjoyed it, enjoyed the thrill and the danger, but his dream was short-lived. at twenty-three, while at one particular competition, cain lost terribly, the scar running down his back a painful reminder of that loss, and it was there the fear set. the fear of dying. he was so close to it, he was just lucky they didn't kill him off completely. feeling utterly defeated, cain went back to his hometown once the scar healed. as if he hadn't suffered enough of a loss, it was only then that he found out his dad had passed away a year back. he couldn't believe it. he'd always imagined his father to live until a ripe old age but apparently not. he got sick from the mines, and eventually got too sick and died. it surprised everyone, but most of all cain. his mother was sickly, but he passed away before her. they were just lucky there were smiths in the shop to help run it. but now that he came back, cain was left with it. surprising everyone, he took the job, and took ownership of the shop. he was still very good, considering he grew up with smithing, and he was confident in his work (unlike his recent failure). cain dove right in the job at twenty-four and had been working there since. when he was twenty-five, his mother, too, got too sick to stay in town. finding a place in her home city, she hesitantly left him, taking his two younger siblings along with her. cain has since been left with the shop by himself, managing it as best as he could, though he'd still wish for a life outside of it. whenever he'd think about that, however, his fear got the better of him, and he'd always take another step back. PERSONALITY ▸ has long since given up being a hothead but it comes back every now and then, mostly when he gets angry. a lot of people just think he's moody, which he is. usually, he's in a very happy mood, but when left alone, he starts to get so hard on himself and thinking he's generally no good. ▸ he's not very good at dealing with people who tell him what to do. he doesn't take direction very well, especially in regards to his work. cain's a little proud when it comes to that and very stubborn as well. he tries to be patient but it usually doesn't go very well. ▸ if a fight happens, you'll be sure to see cain trying to get in the middle of it and trying to "pacify" them. he tries to settle it himself, but usually he just makes it works with his meddling. it's well-intended, though, cain claiming he just wants to help. extra ▸ cain has a dog he picked up during his travels. it was just a puppy when he did, but since then it had grown into a golden retriever mix (he isn't quite sure) he'd named oren. cain loves animals, and if he wasn't a blacksmith (and not his failed "warrior" profession), he'd be a rancher. ▸ he doesn't like clinics, hospitals, or any of the sort, and especially shots, which also explains how wary he is of people in the medical field. this doesn't really go well with how often he gets wounds, but he tries his best to wrap them up and disinfect them himself. this was really brought about by how often his mother had to be taken to the clinic due to her being very sickly, so he's grown to dislike the place. ▸ he loves alcohol. he's not that strong a drinker but he can hold his own. when he gets tipsy, he becomes hyper, but when he gets really drunk, he's more a ... crying drunk. ▸ he was very good with the sword but with his loss, he'd since stored it away and rarely ever practiced with it again (if he does, he makes sure no one sees). he'd talk about his adventures, make fun of them, but he'd never talk about that particular stain. ooc NAME: kee CHARACTERS: n/a HOW DID YOU FIND US: ad somewhere FACECLAIM: [b]MAGI[/b], sharrkan - [i]cain austerlitz[/i] MADE BY HABBUE FOR THIS IS HOME
