[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:350px;,bTable] As Seraphita was on her way to buy baked bread with cream filling, she thought she was missing something, but she didn’t have any idea what it was. Before she went inside the bakery, she patted the pockets of her skirt. Huh? Where was her wallet? She could have sworn she took it with her before she headed out.
The black-haired girl was starting to get into a panic when she realized that she had lost her wallet. She had some money in there to buy bread as well as photos of her younger self coupled with her mother. The last time she had her wallet was in the plaza, so she decided to head there.
She searched only to find nothing… Seraphita was feeling really down on her luck at this point. The black-haired girl sat down on the bench, looking down and kicking her legs in the air. Someone… had to have saw her wallet on the floor right? If not, she wasn’t sure what she was going to do… | ▼AURELIO |

For some reason Aurelio felt at peace sitting around the place, staring at what was available for staring up here. The ocean, obviously, the sky, the path down to the stores and the City Hall, and the few people that were also there for whatever reason. Most often it looked like they were there for the same reason as Aurelio, and at those times he went over and hit off some small talk, despite how he hated them and wasn't very good at it. Meeting new people was good, so why not?
Today, as he arrived, he spotted something on the ground as he walked onto the plaza. The man moved closer and identified the item as a wallet. Who would loose their wallet up here? He quickly looked around for anyone who could have lost it, but there was no one there that he could see. Deciding to pick it up so it wouldn't be lying on the ground getting all kinds of dirty, Aurelio peeked inside it to check for pictures or anything that could tell him whose wallet it was.
There was money - obviously - and some pictures of a child with her mother. At least that's what it looked like. Could just as well be a kidnapped kid with their kidnapper, but who would keep such a photo in their wallet? Maybe it was the kidnapper's wallet, he suddenly realised and dropped it while he let out a quick gasp and took a step back.
Oh no, what would he do? What should he do? If this was a kidnapper's wallet and the kid in the photo was taken from it's parents, he should take it to the police! The kid could be in danger for all he knew, so he had to do something! Without too much thought he started running back down to the town, adrenaline rising. Midway he stopped, realising that the kidnapper probably would come back to the place she had lost her wallet. Right? Right.
As he retraced his steps, just as he thought the kidnapper would, Aurelio kept a firm grip on the wallet. He started pacing back and forth once he arrived back at the plaza, wondering how long he would have to wait. When the kidnapper got back he could just demand to have her let the girl go, because involving the police would probably scare her away. That seemed logical to Aurelio, and so he waited.
After a little while had passed, a girl appeared. She had long black hair, and looked flushed. Was she worried about something? It took Aurelio longer than what would probably take a normal person two seconds to realise that she could be the owner of the wallet.
He immediately hopped over to her. "Nee! Did you loose this?" he asked and showed her the wallet he was keeping in his hands excitedly. "I found it earlier and no one was around, so I thought I should hold on to it until someone came looking, and then you showed up, but it took me a while to figure out that this probably belongs to you and not the kidnapper in the photo -" oh wait, if it was her wallet then the adult in the picture probably wasn't a kidnapper, but a mother as he had originally thought. Just as the little child probably was this girl, and not some kidnapped kid. He glanced back and forth from the wallet to the girl a couple of times until he realised a second thing. He had met this girl before! "Aaaah! You're that girl I met at the lake!" And then a sudden warmth spread across his cheeks and he touched his face to hide it. In Aurelio's defense it could just as well had been a kidnapper's wallet as hers. Ah, how he wished he remembered more about her. She had told him about herself back at the lake, but he didn't remember at all. What was her name? It started with an S.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:350px;,bTable] Before Seraphita could sob, she was met by someone familiar. Seeing her wallet in Aurelio’s hands made her jump for joy. Her precious wallet had been found! Her mother had made her that wallet and it was her most treasured item. ”Ah yes, that’s mine! I never thought I would find it again! Thank you!” Seraphita flushed as she took her wallet back. Checking her wallet, her contents were still inside. That made her breath a sigh or relief.
”K-kidnapper? That’s my mom and me in the photo.” Normally a family photo would consist of mother, father and child, but Sera was one of those children that didn’t have a dad. Despite the setback in her life, she was still happy that her mother was still around, and that’s all that mattered to her. ”Yes, we meet again…” She giggled and put her hands together.

Although all he did was pick it up and wait around. He hadn't done anything substantially big to deserve a thank you, but at least he would be polite enough to say something back. When Seraphita checked the contents of her wallet, Aurelio immediately put his hands up in defense. "Ahh! I didn't take anything, I swear! I was only checking for an ID," he exclaimed, pointing to the picture with his supposedly "kidnapper".
Oh, so it was her mother. Well that made much more sense than some kidnapper. "So you live with your mother? That's so nice - oh, but where's your dad?" He added the last question without thinking, as was his nature.
Before he could get an answer, however, the blacklette told him she was on her way to buy cream puffs and Aurelio's eyes went wide. "Cream puffs?" he blinked, taking a few steps so he was standing closer to the girl. "I'd love to come!" He then took both of her hands in his own and shook them excitedly. The brunette hadn't had cream puffs in so long, his mouth was already watering.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:350px;,bTable] "So you live with your mother? That's so nice - oh, but where's your dad?" Did he really have to go ask that question to her? Seraphita didn’t like to talk about it, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt to tell Aurelio. Sighing, she looked at the photo of her and her mother. ”I don’t know who my dad is. He had left us when my mom was pregnant with me at the time… and we haven’t heard from him since.” Jenna didn’t like talking about him either, and there was no photos of them being together when they were a couple.
While being raised by her mother she had always wondered who her dad was. And when she met him, she just wanted to ask him… why he would abandoned her when her mother needed him the most? The answer just seemed to escape Seraphita’s grasp… Her gloominess was soon cheered up by Aurelio’s enthusiasm in getting cream puffs. ”Hehe, okay, let’s go!” They went to the bakery together.
After purchasing a few, they sat on the bench in the plaza, with Seraphita taking a few bites. The cream was so creamy and rich that she wouldn’t mind eating this all the time… but she didn’t want to get fat. ”So what have you been doing besides managing the shop? Caught any new fish lately?” | ▼AURELIO |

Instead he let himself be led to the bakery by this lovely young blacklette who just loved baked goods. First the pie at the lake and now delicious cream puffs at the plaza. It really was a good place to enjoy such things, just like up at the lake. He wondered why more people didn't do this kind of thing; picnicing. Aurelio didn't even feel bad for having Seraphita buy the puffs for him.
Taking a few hearty bites, the girl suddenly asked him what he had been doing lately, besides working at the fish shop. "Oh, I don't know .. I don't really do much besides fishing, but I caught some rainbow trouts yesterday!" he said and grinned, with his face full of cream from the puffs, completely unaware.
"What about you? I totally forgot what you do, but you could just tell me again and I'll try to remember." Aurelio's memory really wasn't anything to brag about, and it would probably be a rather embarrassing factor for anyone else, but Aurelio was just too ignorant to realise the truth of it. "I remember you made a pie, though. Why don't you make one again next time I see you?" He was a sucker for pies.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:350px;,bTable] Seraphita giggled as he stuffed his face full of cream puffs. It was that good to him huh? Did he even know that his face was getting all messy?
Rainbow trout’s were very pretty. She had seen a few of them in picture books, but she didn’t know they were living in the waters here. She wondered what they tasted like when roasted, but Sera didn’t eat fish much. ”Sounds like fun. I’m a nun but I bake during my spare time.” She was quite surprised that he still remembered that she had made that delicious cherry pie.
She had been too focused on making the perfect chocolate cake, but she guessed making another pie wasn’t too bad. Maybe she could make a blueberry pie. ”Would you like a blueberry pie then?” | ▼AURELIO |

A pair of green orbs blinked down at his now dirty sleeve, but just shrugged, wiped it off with his hand and turned his head to look at Seraphita instead. "Those were delicious, thanks!" He had eaten his share, and was now enjoying the salty breeze from the clear ocen below.
"You're a nun? Whoa - that sounds totally boring, though. Like, do you speak to God or the Goddess or something?" Asking that question reminded him of another matter that had been going around town for a few years. Apparently the crops were becoming doing worse by the year and he had noticed there were less fish in the lake lately. It was strange, and he didn't know if there was anything lying behind, but if it was he probably wasn't going to find out anytime soon. The less you know, the better you have it was his unconscious motto.
"You're gonna make a whole pie just for me?" Aurelio's eyes got watery and it wasn't because of allergies this time. The same thing was happening to his mouth, and he had to blink away a few damp drops from his eyes. He had never had anyone make him food, except for maybe his sister, since his parents died. For a second he didn't say anything and had a flashback to a happy memory from his past where he sat at a table and ate his mother's homecooking. It didn't take long for him to forget and return to his cheerful attitude again, though. "I'd love it, if you really want to offer me something like that!"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:350px;,bTable] "You're a nun? Whoa - that sounds totally boring, though. Like, do you speak to God or the Goddess or something?" Speak to the goddess? That would be easier said then done. There wasn’t a way to speak with her. Giggling, Seraphita shook her head. ”No, not really. I pray for her to bless this land with her powers. I’ve heard complaints from farmers that the soil isn’t fertile. If we don’t have fertile soil, we can’t make money from growing crops.”
While being a nun was kind of a… boring job, Sera often had fun with the children that visited the church. She would read stories with them and play with them on the playground. She wondered what it would be like as a mother, but that was kind of an embarrassing topic.
”Hehe, you’d never say no to my pies! I’ll be sure to make a good blueberry pie for you! In return…” Sera put a hand to her chin. ”Can you teach me how to fish?” | ▼AURELIO |

Of course that was only logical, he was probably the best fisherman in this town, and if it all relied on him he would feel great responsibility. Oh wait. ".. I think you better keep praying." There were a lot more farmers than there were fishermen here anyway, so they'd make more money on that than fish. Aurelio grinned, even though he caught himself in what could have been a bad situation, created by himself.
"You want to learn how to fish?" he blinked at her question. It was a wonder he wasn't completely lost in the thought of pie, but when it came to fishing he could never stay silent. Why would she want to learn how to fish, though? Maybe she wanted to help out if it really came to fishing being the only export of Sepalum. In that case she was super generous! "Thanks!" he said, without thinking he made no sense. "Sure, I'll teach you! It's not as easy as it looks, you know~ you have to be quiet and patient -" which he was none of usually, "and there's a special hook for every fish." He kept on talking about the secrets of fishing, still grinning. He loved it, so he was very enthusiastic now that she had said that she wanted to learn how to do what he did.
After a while he realised that he was blabbering on about fishing, leaving her short. Their conversation was quickly turning into a monologue, which wasn't really fair to her, and she probably wouldn't even remember everything by the time they got to the water. "Sorry, I'll tell you more later," he laughed.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:350px;,bTable] That was true, but people would certainly get tired of eating fish all of the time. And if people kept fishing, the population would certainly decrease. Seraphita smiled and nodded. She really wanted to try, and since she didn’t have a dad who could teach her, Aurelio would be perfect for that. Fishing wasn’t going to be easy, as Sera knew that, but she was certain it would be fun. Trying to catch a fish sounded so exhilarating to her.
Aurelio was constantly talking about fishing and once he stopped, he smiled sheepishly and told her he would tell her more stories later. Laughing and shaking her head, she responded, ”Oh, it’s no problem at all. But I have to go now. I forgot that I have to do some shopping before the store closes. I hope we’ll have a fun time fishing!” With that, Sera waved and headed off to the stores. | ▼AURELIO |
