[atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, background: #fafafa; color: #444; font-family: 'arial narrow'; padding: 10px; width: 330px!important;] ▶ FRIENDS • dylan isn't exactly a social person. he hasn't exactly fully integrated into the primula community yet, and most of the times after work he retreats to the loft above his shop to read. if you want to befriend him, you probably have to first be a regular customer at the shop, then drag him to the bar one night and get him drunk. (which is easier said than done. high-ish tolerance to alcohol.) he'll then start to open up, but slowly. ENEMIES • just be annoyingly chipper and hyperactive. that's pretty much it. dylan gets p-o'd by those kinds of people pretty easily, and although he can't show his irritation during store hours he'll certainly give you the run around if you try to communicate to him like that. LOVERS • it's certainly not out of the question, but he needs to be pursuing it first. dylan's been in a rough patch of his life over the last couple of years, and if he's gonna fall in love with you, you first need to help him out of it. OTHERS • pm me if you want to make a family member.

^{dylan & sara - ah, i love him so much! and believe it or not, i think that these two could have a tentative sort of friendship. if he shares her love of books, that could be something they might be able to bond over? or - since she's a friend of callum - they could wind up at the tavern together. it'd be amusing for sara to interact with someone who's even slightly tipsy, considering the fact that she's extremely conservative. despite having a tendency to withdraw into herself every so often, she's generally friendly and open-minded. so i think she'd enjoy dylan's company if he'd be willing to spend time with her. let me know what you think though, and we can go from there!}

i know dylan can't deal with unbearably perky but how would he deal with absolutely domineering?

because hadia's got a bone to pick with anybody that could be tampering with any kind of historical sites about sepilum and dylan will probably be quite high on the list! she wouldn't trust a miner in any capacity and to her, dylan's from a plain uncivilised creed so not only have dylan has got a lady that'll ooze YOU'RE GOING TO RUIN ANCIENT HISTORY IF YOU DON'T HAVE ME AROUND she also oozes dismissal about his work. which is absolutely terrible and maybe not what he needs

so i'd still very much expect a first meeting would have compromised of hadia's insistent “do you even know what you're doing around here” that i feel wouldn't have gone down well at all. from there on, it depends! that might leave a permanent first impression on him and how he reacts might do the same back

i mean, despite all her snootiness hadia might like him because he's very no-nonsense! PLUS, that remarkable skill he has of identifying gems sounds like something she'd be interested in. if not on a work level perhaps on a personal level. hadia really like shiny things.

BUT words basically i don't know much apart from it might be super fun to play out, especially if they're super contradictory? what do you think!

DYLAN&KOLORA*
I don’t know how he would react towards Kolora but I’m just going to throw a bunch of ideas out there. He probably sees her quiet often, seeing that she always wonders past the mines silently pondering if she should go take a look. Part of her wants to go exploring and the other half tells her that she’d most likely get lost if she went into the mines by herself. So she’ll aimlessly wonder into his shop, intently stare at the equipment then awkwardly leave the shop feeling utterly useless. Perhaps on her third or fourth visit he gets annoyed and just asks her why she’s there? After that point she’ll probably ask him questions about the mines and if there were any neat things he found. Kolora finds mining to be better than fishing since she always zones out and loses the fish she attempts to catch. Maybe they’ll run into each other on the streets or he goes to the hospital to get medicine(checkup or whatever idk). But if you’re willing to have some type of romance in the mix that would be cool! Just let me know what you think. Feel free to take away or add stuff!

And if someone drags Dylan to the bar, Callum would greet him with open arms and a nice tall glass of whatever he wanted to drink. Kind of like with Tailor he'd bluntly just tell Dylan to take a load off and relax. He interprets un-social as uptight so there's that. I'm not sure how Dylan would react but I mean....most people wouldn't like it LOL

Other than that kind of a meeting I'm not sure how else they could meet. Cal doesn't head to the mining district often since he just doesn't care to mine and he's busy with the tavern...but I'm sure there's always a possibility in the future!

dylan & sara • she could be a tutor of sorts? iunno, i feel it could be an interesting plot if she catches him with his textbooks, puts two and two together, realizes he's struggling and ask for the help. dylan's a bit proud like that so he wouldn't take up the offer at first, but i think he'd give eventually and a friendship could blossom from there? he's a tough nut to crack anyways

dylan & hadia • ugh the two of them would get into so many spats it wouldn't be funny. hadia would probably just knock over a shitton of stuff and get dylan steaming mad. the two of them really wouldn't gel at any point, and if she's acting all uppity that might sour any prospects for a future working relationship. but iunno, your thoughts?

dylan & kolora • awww, the two of them could be cute for romance, but i don't think it'd be something they could dive into right away. it would definitely be the awkward type if dylan ends up falling for her - he's not exactly the most passionate of people and it'd take a load off his shoulders if someone put the moves on him first, yanno?

dylan & callum • hey, dylan has to be social once in a while. maybe on his occasional forays downtown he'd run into callum at the tavern when he just wanted to rest and callum would be pestering him about /something/ and dylan'd be all "cool your jets brosky."

i agree! it could be cute seeing their relationship grow so taking it slow is totally fine with me. they could both be awkward since kolora would act flustered but willing to bring her feelings out on the table. so if anyone is making the first move it would be this gal. we should thread to see how they interact with one another!

DYLAN&JANE Hey Boss!

So, Jane works for Dylan so I feel like they should have some sort of relationship. Jane's a quite kind of gal, a little nervous and paranoid. She's a hard worker. Though, she has a heart condition and sometimes has to take breaks cause she can't handle working to hard. But, Jane REALLY wants to mine before she dies, and only has once, but didn't get to far. So I thought that maybe Jane convinces him to let her go mining with him every now and again? But wont let her do any of the hard work? I dunno, just an idea. If you have any ideas just let me know!
