Lucas was born into the rancher life and wouldn't have it any other way. His parents ran a dairy farm on a nation somewhere near the Sepalum Peninsula, and when Lucas was old enough, he helped run it too. On occasion he would butt heads with his old man about the 'best way to care for a cow', but life was otherwise peaceful for him. Around his eighteenth birthday Lucas began to entertain the idea about moving away from his folks, like others his age. His mother was against the idea, but wouldn't stop him if that's what he truly wanted. His father on the other hand practically kicked him out the front door, telling Lucas it was time he got out to see the world.

After a short night of packing and a few heartfelt goodbyes (as well as about a hundred promises to his mother he would write) Lucas went on his way. He'd decided to strike out on his own as a dairy farmer, just like his parents, and moved to the Sepalum Peninsula. He'd heard fairly good things about the place, blissfully unaware of the disaster befalling the town. So he's lived there ever since, hoping one day to make a farm better than his father's.

• Lucas has a suprising amount of patience when it comes to working around the ranch, especially when it comes to the animals.
  
• While Lucas isn't overly fond of bandanas, they are a constant part of his daily attire. The reason for this is that his parents often send them to him as gifts in the mail, leading him to being prompted by his love of his parents to wear them.
  
• Lucas is deathly afraid of ghosts. Just the thought of them being around puts him on edge. His reasoning for such being that while you can face most problems head-on, you can't really touch ghosts. How are you supposed to take something you can't even touch?
