Maya doesn't really remember much of her past. All she does remember is being a princess. And by that the prized possession of an older lonely man. He treated her like a princess, always treating her like his own daughter. He was older though, and after awhile he grew frail and sick. So he put her back into the ocean before he'd pass away.
Maya didn't last long though, she was soon taken away by pirates and was treated worse then she'd ever been. Still, one of the pirates had fallen for her and kept her alive. Still, the second she could escape she did and ended up making it into the rivers of the pennisula. Where she now lives and is trying to live on her own, but isn't doing to well and is hoping to meet someone to help her out soon.
