A boy of the name Ringo was born to a simple wizard and witch that lived in an isolated place. As such he didn't grow up with too much company since the only local place with people was just a small town. However, the small amount of company he did have, he enjoyed. It was relatively a simple life despite having a slightly different education than most around him. Being born a magical being, he was taught to use his gifts.
Ringo was a generous boy, often using his gifts to help others. It was then he met an ill girl named Ai Ren at age 12. She didn't have long to live but despite that she was a pleasant girl to be around. Her life span being so short weighed on Ringo's mind for a bit but never bothered him too much throughout their friendship thinking that what they have right now was important...or that was what he thought.
When he reached 18 years old, Ai passed away. Ringo was not ready as ready for that reality as he thought he was. Not helped by him coming upon a text that will allow him to heal the severely injured if certain conditions are met. This was beyond Ringo's ability but he tried the spell anyway before the doctors can place her body away for the funeral. What the people found the next morning was an unconscious Ringo not too far from Ai's body.
The spell, put it simply, was greatly unsuccessful. His parents weren't exactly sure how Ringo prepared the spell, but it quite frankly has a cost even if it failed. Ringo has suffered some form of memory loss. He does have some recollections of basic information such as his own name, the names of his family, as well as a grasp on language but nothing else aside from his own words "a vague memories of a kind person."
In order to expand his horizons, and to spare him knowledge of the incident, they decided traveling would do him some good and give him more of a world view. Ringo traversed various lands, learning from the locals of the places he visited before finally setting down in a peaceful peninsula by the ocean. Ringo decided he was going to stay here for a bit and remains in contact with his family, getting a job as a General Store Clerk to get by.
