With its glimmering lights from all the busy buildings and cars, with the tall silhouettes of the towers that reached up towards the star-filled heavens, it was almost poetic. But not to Max. No, little miss Maxine had little care for beauty and imagery of the lovely city of Victorialis. What she cared about was inside the city, or more specifically, inside the building who's fire-escape she was currently residing upon. You see, word had it a certain wizard she was hunting for was hanging around the place and Maxine was always particularly talented at picking up the word. The only thing she really needed was a way to get in and well, that was almost done. She peered below her at the two bouncers yawning at each other. They...may or may not have been slipped some sleeping juice no big deal. Yep, they were down and in a few seconds Maxine was smiling her way in. Sure she had to keep to the shadows of the...disco dance club (apparently the wizard had no taste at all0, but that wasn't too hard. It was dark after all, minus the disco ball in the center, loud too. The young 'teenager' simply slipped a hood over her head and began the search. |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=valign,top] | [atrb=valign, top] ◄ | The blonde grunted setting down a crate of whisky bottles behind the counter. Loud music pounded through huge speakers next to the DJ booth. The crowd around the place was dressed for the decade the club stood for. Women and men winked at him under their huge afros. Girls painted their faces with wild colors and pranced around in ripped neon tights. Men sported big sunglasses despite it already being semi dark and sauntered to the dance floor is sagging parachute pants. Orville felt out of place for the most part. Sure his staff outfit was pretty much themed to the decade but he didn’t go all out. Unlike his co workers he didn’t tease his hair of wear make-up. All he did was small jobs that he could help out with. Moving crates while he let a few oldies tracks play was easy enough.
Orville was lucky enough to get a job close to his field. Music mixing was one of the skills he had to develop if he wanted to be able to write and compose songs for famous artists someday. He glanced at his co worker for a moment not wanting to interrupt her bottle twirling routine by knocking over a bottle mid-air. Cautiously backing away after helping restock the bar, the young man made his way back to the mixing table. As the blonde weaved through drunken patrons he noticed a short figure making their way through the crowd of taller dancers. There’s was probably a lot of short people in the club but this one in particular was hooded and lacked the bright colors that most sported tonight. He paused glancing at his post for a moment before diving into the crowd to follow. The music would just skip to another track if he didn’t touch it. For now, a hooded small person was of more concern. He had been warned to keep on the lookout for suspicious people entering the place. Whether they were underage or criminals, he was to keep watch. Orville should have turned back and reported it but…what were the chances of it being a hooded midget with a gun?
The boy closed the distance, once or twice almost loosing the stranger as he bumped through grinders. Once he was close enough the employee reached out and gently grabbed Maxine by the shoulder. “Excuse me!” he said loudly looking down at the person and hoping they would hear him. He paused unsure what to say. What did you say to people in a club? He cleared his throat before continuing, “Are you looking for someone?”

[atrb=border,0,true] | | [cs=2] | [cs=2]I'M LOOKIN' RIGHT AT THE OTHER HALF OF ME the vacancy that sat in my heart is a space that now you hold Ughh why would anyone go here for the kick’s? Maxine’s cheeks puffed up in a scowl as she wandered through the painfully colorful crowds, being careful not to be ran over by the colorfully drunken. Where was he, where was he? The girl craned her neck upward, trying to look for her target but alas, the man was nowhere to be seen amongst the sea of neon and afros. She let out an exasperated sigh, perhaps it was just bad info. Wouldn’t surprise her, to be honest, she had struck out for the past 98 years what would make this try so different. Perhaps she could re-learn a tracking spell? That would be useful, it would take an annoying amount of effort, but it would be useful none-the-less. This was, of course, assuming she couldn’t even find the wizard in this disgustingly obnoxious little bar before she was- ”Excuse me!”busted. The girl let out a surprised little yip at the touch, whipping around to face a blonde boy in his late teens. Instinctively, she gave him a quick look-over for anything of worth as he continued talking. “Are you looking for someone?””Um yes, actually!” The girl began to rock on the balls of her feet, casually pretending that she did not look a decade or so under-age. ”A wizard, bout your height, Um…” She twisted a strand of her hair into her finger, eyes looking upward as she tried to picture her target. ”White hair, long white hair actually, seriously he could be Rapunzel. Um blue eyes, tan skin, probably wearing some cheesy archaic shit or maybe an all out…disco…ish costume. Yeah, he’s that kinda guy”She gave a wide, toothy grin, maybe she got lucky this time...just maybe she got lucky. |
