[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] you're the only person who reminds me NOW DON'T YOU BLINK OR IT'S GONE APPROXIMATELY 549 WORDS THIS POST IS FOR One & All of TIH! THE MUSIC INSPIRING IS " DON'T BLINK " BY RELIENT K. IDEK. Most of this is babble soooooo just skip to the end |D b The Autumn season was upon Sepalum, and every year the town looked forward to the festival the mayor held in honor of the last harvest of the year. For a farmer, this festival was not only a means to take a breather and celebrate making it to the end of another harvesting season, but it also served as somewhat of a pep rally for the rancher district. The start of fall was like their homecoming; they had reached the homestretch but now isn’t the time to ease up and quit working hard. Now was probably the most crucial time for the ranchers because the outcome of this final harvest would determine how well off they would be in the winter when their crops wouldn’t be able to grow. The Harvest Festival was a way to refresh their spirits to work hard in the few months to ahead. The Acker family of farmers always participated in the harvest festival in some way or another. This year, their oldest daughter Cassie had come up with the idea of having their own pumpkin patch. It was something she had been “planning” (at least, as close to planning as Cassie ever gets) even during the summer when she made sure to till an extra plot of land specifically to grow pumpkins for the festival. A few months of extra care and attention from the farmer’s daughter and she had her pumpkin patch! Throughout the ranching district where the townspeople were hustling and bustling about with the planned autumn festivities; Cassie was lucky enough to have found a small area of grass amongst all the commotion where she unloaded her cartful of pumpkins for display. She even propped up a sign her mother had made that read Cassie’s Pumpkin Patch! Her excitement was brimming and as usual, it showed on her face as she decided she was ready for business! Now came the hardest part for the ambitious brunette: waiting. One minute felt like an hour as she felt like she had watched at least a dozen people go by without even glancing in her or her bright orange gourds’ direction. There was chatter about the hayride at the Narcussus ranch, and Cassie was almost tempted to join and forget about her business. Fortunately, she had prepared for slow sales hours and it could even be turned it into a way of attracting others to her patch of vegetables. “Who wants to make jack-o-lanterns?!” Cassie announced loudly to no one in particular as she took out a few carving knives and a couple of hand shovels to help gut the pumpkin for decoration. She wasted no time in rolling up the sleeves of her shirt before handpicking what she thought to be the ideal pumpkin for carving. After cutting a circular incision around the top of the vegetable she looked back to the nearest person passing the pumpkin patch. “Hey you!” Cassie called out to them and directed whomever it was towards her with a wave of her hand, “Come and carve pumpkins with me!” She was about to get to the fun part, after all. And what’s the point enjoying the sensation of scooping slimy, gooey pumpkin guts if someone there wasn’t to enjoy it with you? MADE BY AYU OF BACK TO NEVERLAND |
