He was raised in a city not far from the peninsula, his family often vacationing there during the summer., partially for the reason of helping Freddy's not very severe asthma. Freddy always dreamed of leaving the city behind. The peninsula was a small and short fulfillment of this wish during the family's vacations there. Slowly, Freddy grew to love it. He played with his siblings there , fished, rode horses, and learned from an old rancher how to farm and care for crops. Freddy knew he wanted to be a rancher and spent most of his life earning enough money to buy his own ranch. The fateful day came when Freddy turned eighteen. He revealed to his parents that he was leaving the city and moving to the peninsula to be a rancher. His family was supportive of his decision and his parents purchased a horse, a few farm animals, and a dog for Freddy to have on his farm. They helped him move to his ranch to get his bed and a few appliances there. A few tearful goodbyes later, Freddy was on his own and ready to start working.
