Leon is a quiet, but content rancher. He has his own place where he keeps several ducks and grows watermelons, strawberries, tomatoes and potatoes - but mostly watermelon - and he prioritises his farming above all else. You could say he is rather very passionate about it, because he spends so much time with it, and his ducks. A certain way to get on Leon's good side is to compliment either his crops, or his ducks.

Being an extreme introvert like he is, he doesn't have a lot of friends, but there are some. And people tend to wiggle their way into his life somehow, because they find him cute or charming in any way. And Leon lets them, because he just doesn't believe in pushing people off. It's just that certain types of people don't find him very easy to converse with, and so they don't bother with him, which he is fine with because he has more than enough people who drive him crazy with their trying to get him into a social life.

I honestly don't know how Leon would have enemies, because he spends his time either tending to his crops or ducks, or relaxing in a hot spring. Maybe there's someone who's jealous of him because of something? Having a certain eye to one of his closer friends or perhaps a rivalling rancher? Or someone who just gets ticked off at Leon.

ça va pas bien comme ta tête

This would be where Leon's love life unfolds. He's a romantic at heart, really, but because of his stoic personality not many think of him as a good guy to have around, you know? It's a shame, though, because deep down all Leon wants is to marry someone and start a family, settle down and then pass on his knowledge like he got from his own parents and so on. He's a family man, so to say, full of traditions and a love for nature. However, he doesn't have much interest for the city or people who don't care for farming at all.

Miles & Leon: Well, Miles was born and raised on the peninsula as well the men probably at least know of each other if nothing else? I don't think they would have been friends in school. If anything just casual acquaintances.

Or maybe they could have been those kids who like, sat by each other away from everyone at lunch and recces since Miles was bullied and Leon was friendless himself. Never friends, but they sort of had each other?

EITHER WAY: I can see Miles coming to Leon for help running his ranch, since Miles knows squat. If they were casual acquaintances in school maybe they just talking about ranching at the bar or something one night? If they were 'friends' it'd be something...different? xD

Elena & Leon: If anything, I could see Elena trying to bring Leon out of his shell. Whether at the bar or a gathering or...something. Elena would definitely be like, "Have some fun! Come on!"

Or she could steal something from him?

so i totally fell in love with the idea of the two of them being loners at school, but it poses a problem; leon is three years older than miles. i don't know what the school system is, however, so maybe it works out either way, but since there's only one school in town it's probably okay and on that note; leon would definitely be eating lunches and stuff by himself, but since he back then had no idea how to converse with, well, other human beings - you know, 'cause of the hippie parents and living outdoors - he wouldn't exactly up and go say hello to miles when he discovered he wasn't alone.

idk if miles would've known of leon living outdoors, but he was very conscious about it and didn't tell people, so unless they became really good friends (which i doubt) leon wouldn't talk a whole lot to miles during lunches. just that casual nod of a greeting, then eating of their lunches and eventually going their separate paths.

but then maybe - an idea - after they both left school and got themselves ranches, they became neighbors? and so one or both of them recognised the other and things developed from there? at that point leon would be more susceptible to socialising and eventually getting himself some friendships. so after a while, miles ran into trouble on his ranch and since he'd now know leon's story and how he's practically been living on the biggest ranch ever from birth (lol the earth /shot) so he figured he was the best one to ask for advice and stuff for his own ranch. i definitely see - after they become friends - miles dragging him with him to the bar or something, where in turn he could meet elena o/ and she could either rob him blind - although he's rather more focused on his belongings than aurelio - or find him hilarious and drag him out more often from his ranch and all that. but yeah, i love your ideaaas anyway \o\

...and that's what I get for plotting when my sleep schedule is irregular.

Yay though! Miles wouldn't say hi so quickly either, as he would be nervous Leon (especially being older) would bully him as well. And I doubt Miles would know about Leon's living situation and all that, I'm sure he just would think of him like that cool guy who doesn't bully me. I could pictures Miles looking up to him, like just how calm and collected he seemed to the younger boy when he was just so awkward. Like, "If I'm like him maybe I'll make more friends!" So maybe becoming a big brother figure to Miles now? Neighbors sounds good though, that would probably make the most sense.

Elena & Leon
Maybe Elena could make like an attempt to steal from him (with some random backstory I make up) but get caught?

Or just find his social skills horrendous and be like, "I'm making you have fun." OR BOTH.
