history
billie lives on a small farm of about two acres that borders a good portion of tulip lake. her house, complete with all modern conveniences, sits a few hundred feet from the lakeshore. towards the south part of her property, billie keeps a small citrus orchard for her bees. she has about twenty hives, though only about five have a permanent residence in her apiary. as the only beekeeper on sepalum peninsula, billie realizes that she has a certain duty to the farmers and the rest of the community who rely on the produce grown by the ranchers. to ensure the regular pollination of the plants, she keeps hives stationed throughout the farmlands for a price, of course. billie regularly checks the hives once a week for maintenance (though not all on the same day of course). back at the ranch, billie has a small barn near the bee yard where she keeps her centrifugal honey extractor and other tools used to extract honey and clean the wax. she makes a few types of honey, of course, the non-flavoured just straight up honey, clover honey, and honeycomb. billie also makes candles and soap from beeswax. she finds that they have a much sweeter smell than their counterparts made of animal fat.
when she's not busy with her bees, billie enjoys tending her garden, reading books, and fishing. if not for her two brothers, she'd surely have no free time at all. jason, seventeen, and gabriel, twenty-three, work on the orchard and do the majority of the work with refining the honey and wax. they take turns going into town to sell their goods every wednesday and saturday. billie also makes the occasional sale with the ranchers on her rounds checking up on the bees. she almost always carries a sack with a few jars of honey, bars of soap, and candles in it.
billie and her brothers haven't always lived on their own. they lost her mother when she was eleven to a cold turned pneumonia. and just two years ago, her father drowned in the lake. it's been a bit of an adjustment, living without their father. but they've been coping.
her childhood was forgettable. she has forgotten most it actually. though her daily activities haven't changed much over the past twelve years. she and her mother would go out to take care of the bees and always be home by lunch. then billie and her brothers would then spend the whole of the afternoon running about the farm.

- and then she prefers her bees to people. it's not that she dislikes people. no not at all. she just really loves her bees. anyone who catches her tending to her bees will hear her singing to them non-stop. she finds that they are very good at keeping secrets.
- in addition to her honeybee friends, billie also keeps two dogs, murphy and café, a rather robust fresian, named jiminy, and a riding horse, hogarth the hanoverian. she refers to them as "murphy and the boys."
