The twenty-four year old wrapped her arms around her stomach as she walked around town yet again. The only thing that was on her mind was food. What to eat and where to get it from was her only concern. Of course she could go home and make a meal for herself but the female was just too lazy at this point. So Kolora decided she could go out and pay for a meal that someone could make for her. She huffed running her fingers through her hair not knowing where she was even going. Even after her two years of living in this town she still managed to get herself a bit lost. Kolora wasn’t worried, Primula Town was a nice place so if someone saw it they would be willing to help in some way right?
Her long slender legs lead her into the Baccar Inn and Tavern. She was greeted by warm air hitting her face and the faint smell of food that came from the kitchen. Kolora didn’t plan to end up here but after smelling whatever food that was cooking she decided this would be a nice place to eat her dinner. Her ands fell to her sides as she went towards the closest barstool she could find and sat down. Legs swinging back and forth she looked around the tavern taking in the comforting building. Not only did she want to eat here she suddenly felt like it would be a good idea to sleep here. Even if she wasn’t too far away from her own place.
Kolora stretched her arms across the table as a chill ran down her spine. Fingernails lightly scratching against the oak table the twenty-four year old held back a yawn. Straightening her posture she looked around yet again, “I wonder what sort of food they have…” she mumbled to herself not bothering to get anyone for the moment to tell her what they were cooking up. Kolora was too distracted by the tavern alone to actually order herself some food.

Quite arguably the busiest hour of the day. And, unfortunately for Callum, his cook was running late. Still. Even though it was much past breakfast (he himself had to cook the guests their morning meals) that damned cook was still not here.
It was safe to say that he was a bit flustered as he rushed from room to room, helping his tenants as they needed him. When he heard the hall clock chiming noon he grumbled, heading down through some of the back-room passageways into the kitchen, grabbing an apron and throwing it on. Thankfully the cook's assistant was there but the head cook was nowhere in sight. That idiot was going to get a talking to.
Hearing the door to the tavern open and the bell's tinny tinkling, he poked his head out of the kitchen to see that, thankfully, the place was nearly deserted except for one girl who had just walked in. The tenants would want food as well but this was a lot better than Callum had hoped. At least the place wasn't swarming with lunch visitors...at least not yet. It gave that cook time to get here, anyways.
Grabbing a menu, the redhead walked out of the main kitchen and walked into the area behind the bar, where the woman had decided to take a seat. She was pretty, which made it even better. He'd also never seen her before which was strange, as Callum knew nearly everyone in the town. He was, after all, the owner of one of the town's central hubs.
Flashing a smile, he approached her before setting the menu down on the counter. He leaned against the polished wood surface before he started to rattle off his schpeel.
"Welcome to the Baccar Inn and Tavern," he said cheerfully. "It'll be my pleasure to serve you today, miss. Can I start you off with something to drink?" | [atrb=valign, top] tagged: kolora words: 331 notes: not super long...sorry! ◕╭╮◕ made by habbue |

Blinking her pinkish eyes she looked towards the noise to spot a male heading in her direction. With a menu in hand she couldn’t help but to lick her lips, just now remembering the real reason why she was here. A tiny smile was seen on her lips, an automatic reaction when someone smiled at her, and leaned forward on the counter.
It was a wonder as to why she never ran across this man before. Kolora had been living here for two years yet there were still people out there she didn’t know? That thought cause her to bite the inside of her cheek to hold back the frown that fought to be on her lips. Was it because she worked so often and was too exhausted to do anything else but to go home and sleep? It was troubling, she left the city so she wouldn’t be tired but apparently that wasn’t enough. Perhaps it was time to change her sleeping habits and to not sleep at odd hours during the day. “Hello.†she greeted with a soft tone as her smile grew from his cheery greeting. He seemed like a nice guy to be around.
Picking up the menu she tapped it against her chin for a moment, “Uhmm…†Kolora hummed before looking down at the menu not knowing if she wanted plain like water or something sweet. “Well, do you have a specialty drink?†she asked looking at him with curiosity, “Not something alcoholic though.†her brows scrunched together in worry, “I can’t hold alcohol very well.†she began sheepishly looking away just thinking about the last time she got overly drunk. "What do you like to drink?"

It was always nice when friendly people came in to the tavern, even though he hadn't had a rude customer in a while. The rude people usually came at night, anyways, and it usually came out after they had gotten a few drinks in their system. He hoped she wouldn't want anything hard this early in the day but he wouldn't judge if she did. Or, he wouldn't try.
Listening to her request, he couldn't help but smirk a little. "Hey, that's okay. It's not for everyone, you know?" he said reassuringly. Even if he did love a few drinks himself, he didn't get a chance to really drink that often, considering a drunk bartender wasn't exactly professional or safe. Despite what he wanted to do, he knew he had to uphold a certain standard as the owner and operator of the tavern.
"Specialty non-alcoholic drinks, huh?" he asked in response to her question, thinking about all the different things that he could make. "Well, I'm not sure if its a specialty since we're the only restaurant in town but there's a good drink where we take a fruit syrup of your choosing and mix it with club soda. It's pretty good and it comes in a big variety of flavors," he explained. "We call them diablos."
What did he like to drink? Thinking for a moment he drummed his fingers on the countertop. "Well, I dunno. Depends on the time of day...coffee is usually my go-to," he shrugged. "And we've got a fresh pot of coffee all day, every day, if you wanted that instead," he added.
Waiting for her answer he turned to study her features a bit, a little smile perking on his lips at her pensive look. The woman was pretty, though he knew that he shouldn't lay the moves on her right away. Might scare her off. That is if he had any moves, but he assumed that he did. For now he'd play the part of the friendly...whatever he was doing. Waiter, server, cook...when didn't he play multiple roles at this place? | [atrb=valign, top] tagged: kolora words: 354 notes: hehe kind of took the drink from one of my favorites made by habbue |
