friends. alaric wouldn't have too many people he calls friends. he just isn't a ~friendly~ sort of person, and he isn't very trusting. those that manage to get past his emotional barriers would be rewarded by a logical, rational, often very blunt but surprisingly loyal friend. he might occasionally attempt to crack a joke, although doubtless no one would get it. he's often confused by emotional responses and tends to reply to them in a very clinical manner (or, worse, asking why you're doing what you're doing), and doesn't understand his emotions, so someone who could possibly help him along with that would be awesome.

enemies. alaric isn't exactly easy to get along with. he's horribly blunt, often inadvertently rude, and just doesn't get emotional cues. i wouldn't find it odd if he had quite a few enemies. that's not to say he would care, though. he probably wouldn't, so long as no one was rampaging around his store. he's not quick to judge people, but he is quick to notice, and he'll make his judgement about whether he likes you or not after a period of observation. tl;dr: it's easy to dislike rosencrantz -- just wait till he opens his mouth.

romances. to be honest, rosencrantz is demisexual, which means he only feels attraction for those he is emotionally attached to. that being said, i don't particularly care about whether he gets involved with a guy or a girl, since he doesn't really think about such things. it is, however, rather hard for me to imagine rosencrantz in any sort of romantic relationship. mostly because, i suppose, he wouldn't know what the hell is going on (what are you doing heart stahp I'M SICK I THINK I HAVE A FEVER). i'm open to any ideas you might have so long as they fit with the personalities of the characters involved, though! (: i looove plots.

Kolora wouldn’t mind taking up that challenge of helping Alaric with his emotions. He’s different from others and his lack of emotion will have Kolora amused. Not in a sense that it’s funny but because she finds it interesting. He’s a jewelry shop owner so he’ll see her a lot. Well…Her just staring into the window wishing how she could afford that one cute bracelet. Kolora might even be a bit envious of him since he does own neat shop. His bluntness would stump her, even if she can be straight forward herself but I don’t think that would lead her to disliking him. Depending on how much he talks some conversations might be awkward but it could be neat to see where things go! Sorry if this isn’t much :c feel free to take away anything or add!

Hmmm. I'm trying to think of something we can do that isn't the like, "they randomly meet in the street!" plot.

Well, they're the same age. This MIGHT be a HUGE stretch and might be out of the scope of what you were imagining but what if Callum knew Rosencrantz before the accident or even after the accident? If Rosencrantz grew up in the town, there's always the possibility of them knowing each other in school?

Maybe they were friends or even enemies but before I get ahead of myself I wanna make sure what I wrote up there is okay? Or if you have ideas — feel free to shoot them at me!

Anyway I like what you said! About them talking when the Rosencrantz cart came to town. I can definitely see Callum being an adventuresome little shit kid, so maybe they forged some kind of friendship.

And maybe after the accident he didn't see Ros anymore and since they weren't like BFFS Cal kind of forgot about him...until he sees that the man now owns the jewelry shop. And then his memories can be rekindled!

And that could be interesting because he could be like WHOA ROSENCRANTZ SUP I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN LIKE 20 YEARS and Ros is like "ummm who are you?" lol

Awesome! Kolora sharing her knowledge about her job would make her feel like she’s accomplished something in life. Whatever questions he throws at her she’ll be sure to answer them at her best ability. But of course she would ask why he’s so interested since some days are boring for her. Haha, she would be flustered whenever he catches her spying on his jewels. She would even ask if he could keep a bracelet for her until she saves up enough money to buy it. That works! She could be his confidante and keep an open mind on whatever he tells her. I can’t wait to see how threads go! Should we have a thread with her looking at his jewelry?

Okay, I have some ideas for this little cutie <3

Okay, Ann is a bit on the energetic side, but the possibility of being in friendly terms comes to mind. Although the farmer doesn’t frequent the shop, when she does it’s because possibly bringing in some materials to make some jewelry—possibly cheap ones since her eyes are attracted to the expensive ones, but Ann feels as being a farmer she really doesn’t need them. Just your jeans and tanktop and you are off! Maybe they do strike a common interest that keeps them in friendly terms, taking time into becoming somewhat friends?

Also, since they’re both blunt is possibly a plus, because if he ever says something, she’ll just try to throw it back at him; showing backbone and not looking like just some hyper energy ball most of the time to some of the townspeople? I can see her then later frequent his shop, but always browsing and never buying. Maybe it would get on his nerves somewhat and some hilarious moment appears? (At least for the carrot haired female, until bluntly pointed out it is not funny) And from there, I guess it would depend on the rp on where it would go.

It's all g! Callum would definitely be confused if he denied the fact that his name was Adrian. There's always the possibility that Callum forgot his name but I mean, it's more dramatic if he didn't? But it's up to you!

actually, i think “frenemies” could totally work between these two! alaric having the nerve to tell her off would just click with her. after all, she has many other reasons to like him. he's well-read, he's sophisticated and while hadia may like a man would will hang onto every word of hers and obey her wishes, she doesn't hesitate admiring a few qualities in one who won't. it might make a very tense relationship - one pretty frenemyish - but a great one anyway. having reasons to be able to totally take each other on but still having those shared interests that could make them a pretty formidable pair anyway.

and i'd definitely see hadia taking an immense interest in his shop otherwise. jewellery is a great interest of hers (even though her use of gold might be a little gaudy for some people) so she'd stop by. and i could see them talking totally high-class matters. she's also trying to research the area a bit for some kind of DIG at some point and she'd ENJOY opinions from him about it >8)

however, in regards to his necklace, i could see her potentially invading his personal space to get a look of it - understandably something he isn't a fan of! something that would a lot more tension? 8(

So it would be a rather mutual friendship, with rather humorous results once in awhile. And, well, yeah. The possibility of annoying the girl--and knowing how Rosen can be--and how short tempered she is I think there will quite a heated discussion sometimes. But it's not like "Oh, I'll hate you 4ever!" No, it's something someone has to get used to with a person; how they act, etc.

And Ann would find a lot of ways to annoy the male, she'll just keep pushing until she finds the right button, and voilá: odd interaction.

Naz will usually pop on over if he has any gem ores or jewels that need to be fitted into any of his weapons or jewelry or suchlike! He'll give Alaric a gift in particular (of jewelry or whatever Naz thinks he might like) in thanks for his services that Naz frequently uses. Naz won't really mind his friendliness going to waste on Alaric, considering it's just...his default? He recognizes the man is a good business partner and usually looks out for him in the realm of business. They could be friends, just not...mutual friendly-friends? Alaric might be frustrated and angry if Naz's macho-ness is turned on by Alaric's pretty looks, and thus treating him like a lady sometimes, more chivalrous than would be generally acceptable. And then Naz would be defensive, like, it's just basic courtesy!, etc etc. They might end up quarrelling a bit when near each other for long amounts of time.
