Background
Meet Arden J. Etheridge, a twenty-two year-old city boy who came to Sepalum for a break from school. However, what meant to be a year of rest stretched into a full two years of stay and counting, his reason being that he doesn't want to return home and worry about schoolwork and finding a job and money and blah blah blah. That's boring! He likes it here in Sepalum, where he can live each day freely doing whatever the heck he wants, like relaxing and partying and adventuring and sometimes nothing at all. He gets a majority of the money to do this with from his adoptive parents (who also send him letters to come home but mostly don't know what to do about him) and some extra pocket change from his job at the Clothes Shop (which he applied for only after getting a rare letter form his younger brother, who basically told him to get his ass into shape). Though his family is fraught with worry about him, Arden is fine living the way he is, without much concern for the future.
Friends
He loves friends and friendships and people in general! Arden's willing to talk to and make friends with pretty much anyone and everyone, so if you've lived in town for a while, he will have probably at least tried to say hello to you. Or if you've just arrived in town, he will probably come visit you to do so and maybe throw a mini welcoming party while he's at it. Arden tends not to judge and is pretty accepting in general, so basically if you consider him a friend, he will too!
Romance
He's a bit of a romantic in that he believes his one perfect girl is somewhere out there and that they're fated to meet one day, but until then, he's fine casually flirting with and dating any pretty girls that interest him. There's this lingering thought in his head that maybe one of these girls is the one he's looking for, but generally his attitude towards romance is the same as the one he holds towards life: everything will work in the end, eventually!
Enemies
Enemies would most likely be one-sided relationships; even if Arden's got people who dislike him, he tries not to dislike them back because honestly, life's way too short for hatred! He probably wouldn't consider anyone an enemy unless they do something incredibly mean. Otherwise though, he'll just remember to steer clear of people he knows aren't too fond of him.

hehe kirbop hiya here i am posting because oh man i get this guy ahaha
i absolutely love arden's whole lazy shtik - totally refreshing on a site full of hard-working loser townspeople 8) - and totally wanna get hadia up in here! i'm kinda drawing a blank how exactly but i feel like one thing will be exact; clothes shopping! hadia's a very demanding, exhausting customer and she'll expect the best service from mr arden.
she might take an interest in arden partially because she'll talk to just about anyone as long as she gets to tell them to do things! his laziness won't rub her the right way either so um i assume she'll be a little put off by him, though i assume it'll be one-sided maybe? but to her the question will be “why's he so lazy?” 8') after all there are such scholarly pursuits waiting out there for him! she'll probably say she'll being nice when she offers him work on a dig she's got going on the peninsula - yup, hadia will offer this poor soul WORK.

hello pidge  t- the best service? well he'll work his hardest but even that might just be 60% ;; he's that lazy! but yeah i imagine the put-offness would be one-sided 'cause his impression of her is prolly just "pretty lady with some seriously rockin' style! ... and i guess she's kinda pushy too but oh well." scholarly pursuits and such don't interest him at all, but he'd probably let hadia drag him onto digs and such because they sound exciting lol. in general, i think he wouldn't mind letting her push him around sometimes, although too much and he'll start making excuses lol. but yeah, clothes shopping or dig adventure sound good for possible threads though!  |

JANE&ARDEN HAI I love this guy and wanted to plot with him. I hope that's okay? 
Anyway, Jane is a paranoid girl who has heart problems. She's ALWAYS worried about something and it doesn't help her situation. Not only that, but there's a lot that she wants to do that she's to worried to do because she's scared she'll get hurt sooner.
Maybe Arden's easy-goingness can help her calm down a little? She needs to get into a better mindset about things, and stop worrying so much. I feel like she needs some laid back friends to help her calm down. So perhaps her and Arden could be friends? I don't know, any ideas?

hey, of course it's okay!  and yeah, i think given their personalities they'd make good friends! given jane's condition, arden's probably wondering why she's working a job and worrying all the time instead of partying and ~*exploring life*~ and such. he'd probably try to drag her out to go explore or fulfill all her life goals or something. although, he could probably stand to learn from her and actually worry more about life, so i suppose their friendship might be one where they learn from the other's attitude? `3` |
