EVERY TIME IS PON! ★ ❝ merii goo rando noritai no! tabun sonna ja dame desho! ❞ Zalea sat down at her kitchen table, a cup of tea in front of her along with a book of fairy tales that she has read so many times before. Beside her table is a window that shows a view of the forest. She brushed her hair behind her ear and looked out the window, which allowed a small breeze to flow through the room. Zalea took a sip of her tea and turned the page of the storybook in front of her. It was a collection of stories written and collected by her father. Her mother told her that when she first met her father that he would bring her tons of books and tell her tons of stories. Zalea kept reading the stories, although at this point she knew them word for word. Now when she read them, she let her mind wander. What she would do if she were in that situation, how her version of the story would play out. This time, the story she was reading was of a mermaid princess. Her father had told two versions of this story, one where the princess won her prince and the other that ends with the princess becoming a wind spirit and watching over the one she loved. The green-haired girl hummed along as she thought of how if it were her she would have fought with everything she had to keep her prince. It made her sad to think of her soulmate going off with another princess while she was trapped to watch over him as he went on without her. With such a depressing story, she closed the book and took another drink of her tea, a pout on her face. She wished she could go outside into the town she knew rested beyond the trees. It was sad but she realized that she understood what the mermaid princess who became a wind spirit felt. To have to watch from a distance but never truly be a part of it. She knew the difference though, she was barred by her curse not allowed a single friend while the mermaid princess was allowed the many friends of the wind spirits aside from herself. Zalea thought about going into the town and trying to find her soulmate but to do that would risk turning every person to stone and that was not something she could allow to happen. Her mother taught her that no matter what, her soulmate would find her. It would only hurt more if she had to turn someone to stone to find this person. She sighed and took another drink of her tea. Gingy, the squirrel, laid on her couch and he let out a huff, most likely his version of a yawn. Zalea looked at one of her closest animal friends and smiled. |
