Ugh, poop, Tailor is kinda hard to friendly plot with atm since he's all dead-ish. B-But please still plot with me.. Somehow? xD
Friends: In the past, Tailor was a pretty chill and friendly dude, but right now he's just an emotional train wreck. He just can't seem to cope with the fact that death is a thing. Like, the very fact that people are there one minute and then the next you can never talk to them again? Never hear their voices or see their smiling faces? Yeah, he just can't handle how unfair it is. Even other magical beings get the cold treatment – he's seen them die from accidents before. Basically, he's emotionally weak in that sense, which is why he's shut himself off so hard core. After all, he's faced the heart ache of being left behind by a whole generation of friends and the love of his life, so to him, it's better to just not get close to anyone in fear of having to feel the stabbing pain of recent grief instead of just... Numbness. However, this numbness has to end eventually. I want some people to practically force their way into being his friends or even enemies – as long as he feels something instead of nothing. XD It's a bit tough since he's so blunt and distant, so I'll try to brainstorm up some plots/reasons.
Umm, maybe someone wants to learn his spells for fabu clothing? Or maybe a character's family inherited a piece of his old work, and confronts him over why his current is such crap compared to it? XD In particular, I think getting either the tailor shop owner or another worker there to be his friend would be kind of cute – since it'd be like suddenly ringing a pet turtle they'd had for a century out of it's shell. He's also lived in the town for literal generations, so maybe curious youngsters or someone seeking info on how the town was/their great grandparents/ect. Maybe a one sided rivalry somehow starts to grate on his nerves to make it a two-sided one? Also, he likes books, so other bookworms might at least see him at the library often. Hnng, sorry for not having many good suggestions. >no Please suggest anything at all!
Lovers: He's still 1000000000% hung up on his dead lover. Aside from that, Marsupial and I have a plot in the works for this section hinted reincarnation what?, so please go to the friends or enemies sections instead!
Enemies: Well, he's pretty straight forward and blunt, so he's doubtlessly ruffled some feathers without really caring much. Also, his deflated personality probably irritates certain types of people, and his habit of wandering off while someone is talking doesn't endear many. Of course, most dislike would be one sided – you have to feel in order to hate. But, I think it'd actually be pretty fun to get some hate plots on that make him actually actively seethe in the midst of his depressed fog. Because I am mean.

Despite him being kind of dead I can see him and Callum hitting it off. Why? Because they're both blunt and up-front kind of people. And by hitting it off, I mean they have something in common Anyways! If Tailor ever visited the tavern Callum would constantly be giving him a drink and telling him to losen up, paint the town red and such. Tailor probably doesn't like that/doesn't do anything Callum says but as long as he pays for his drinks then Cal dgaf. LOL Maybe they could have some kind of strange friendship...not like best friends but they have an understanding? Like, Cal lost his parents and even though he's human like them, the feeling that they're gone forever is still upsetting to him. Even if he hasn't gone to Tailor's extremes of feeling dead, I guess...they can relate? What do you think?

Tailor probably has a complex relationship with alcohol, since technically it helps him stay numb, but he's clinical enough to be rational-ish so he'd generally avoid drinking. However, I think that around the middle of winter, he'd probably suddenly go to the tavern a loooot (since it's around the anniversary and the snow makes him think about it) each year, and drink as much as he was allowed. If he didn't cut him off (Tailor is great at hiding being drunk since he has a blank face), he'd probably just pass out on the bar stool. Maybe Callum could have half-carried him home before? When Tailor starts coming out of his grief-fog, he'll probably start putting the dots together (Callum chatting with him about painting the town red, giving him occasional free drinks, helping him back, ect) and be kinda touched by the realization that someone was persistent enough to try to befriend him all that time. And then he'd start trying to at least talk back and make their conversations two ways. XD Probably ask him how people even paint a town red.

I...I like this idea a lot! If he wasn't being a crazy drunk I don't see why Callum would cut him off...honestly, the more drinks Tailor has the more he has to pay so Callum's gonna give them to him as much as possible... (he's horrible I know) But he still isn't heartless, so he helps people get home safe. That's his responsibility as a bartender! So if carrying Tailor back to his house/the clothes shop (where ever he lives) was what he'd have to do, he'd do it :3 And it's not even Callum trying to reach out because he doesn't know what happened, but he's just trying to be nice and friendly and help a brotha out! And if it makes Tailor feel better in the process then I'm a-ok with that

Yeah, I like this plot idea a lot! >w< Tailor is a great drunk, he practically doesn't change until he just flumps over. Though I imagine when he's starting to come out of his shell a bit more, he might actually start to drunkenly confide/muse on how he couldn't understand why his partner left (died) if he really loved him, which is a really childish viewpoint that would only be revealed when he was hella hammered, but still, seems awkward to have to hear. >no Maybe we could thread Callum having to drag him home at some point? Seems kinda fun if the weather is really bad, somehow. XD

Sure~ Even though it isn't midwinter anymore it's still early spring, so maybe he's just...really upset or something. IDK. Would you want to start with them in the bar and then he passes out? Or something along those lines...

Yeah, I could always have him have found something that brought back a slew of memories earlier that day to explain why he went there. c: Starting them in the bar sounds good~ I'll try to make a thread as soon as I get a chance, but I'm not going to be home much today and I work tomorrow. >no Still, hopefully I'll have it up soon. xD

hey there fellow clothes shop worker! even though tailor and arden here work at the same place, i guess they're kind of opposites! while tailor's hard-working and distant, arden's a chill slacker who just likes being around people. in fact, arden would prolly bother tailor a lot for conversation when there aren't any customers around because man, work's like even more boring without anyone to talk to! he doesn't particularly mind that tailor's kinda standoffish either; in fact, he might want to bother him even more to get him to loosen up or something lol. i guess i'm thinking possibly friends maybe? what do you think?

Currently Tailor is too numb to really have friends at the moment per say, but he probably does have a bit of a complex relationship with Arden! XD After all, Tailor is like a fixture at the clothing shop, practically handed down through the generations almost like a shop heirloom (since he's close to ageless). So pretty much from the start of when Arden started working there, Tailor would have treated his attempts at conversations with monosyllable responses or blank stares. Eventually, he would have started feeling like Arden was like an annoying fly – buzzing up and disturbing his silence. When/if Arden continued to try to get him to loosen up, he'd probably hit the point of giving up on completely ignoring him with an actual half smile, and at least attempt to say full sentence responses to him. So pretty much as close to being friends as Tailor is currently able to be – and when he starts to open up more, I'm sure that'd be a good term to use~ c:
...Did any of that even make sense? xD

seraphita and tailor:
Seraphita is a kind of girl that doesn’t like to see people sad, so when she sees Tailor in a sad state she can’t stand to see him like that, so she’d try her best to become his friend and help him through his grief, despite Tailor not wanting Seraphita to get close to him. She just wants to hug him to make him feel better… :c

yep, that totally makes sense! even if tailor doesn't really respond much, arden probably would've kept talking to him anyway, if only to have someone to talk to in the store. maybe the silence and the awkwardness would deter him a bit, but he gets lonely and bored way too easily to just give up! so unless tailor kept telling him to leave him alone or something, arden would prolly just keep pestering him lol. if that's all okay, something kinda like friendship but not quite sounds good to me!

I think Freja's quiet nature and Tailor's...numbness/quietness might work out?
She obviously heads into town every once and a while to get supplies and maybe they have a connection through their work? Freja grows flowers and uses some to create fragrance while others are used to create dyes. Since Tailor works with clothes, maybe they have a working relationship where she tries to get the perfect color dye for the fabric that he needs?
Also her caring nature will make her want to help him, since (I assume) it's obvious that he's got a rough story from his demeanor. Maybe she tries to help him out and he...reacts? LOL I'm not sure how he'd react but yeah thats what I've got~

seraphita and tailor: For a long time, Tailor would just react to her trying to befriend him with the equivalent of a slightly annoyed blank face, since she'd distract him from his memory-laden silences. Eventually, he'd get confused at the fact she continued, and, when he starts feeling less numb, he'd even get a little amused along with it. At that point he'd attempt to do more than just stare at her blankly, though it'd be a slow progress. XD
Arden and tailor: He wouldn't tell him to leave him alone, he'd just answer him in monotone and not contribute much to their conversations. XD But yeah, near-friends sounds good~ Maybe Arden can already consider him a friend, and when he becomes less numb, Tailor can see it and make it mutual. C:
Freja and Tailor: A work relationship is great! Tailor pretty much lives for his work currently, so he'd easily be able to talk and try to help her about creating the perfect dyes. If she brought in a good deal of great quality dye, he'd probably give her an enchanted item of clothing as a bit of an exchange. He's pretty, well, dead-ish when it comes to personality, so her helping him would probably be greeted with really blank stares and short answers. And then really long stretches of silences, cause he'd start dwelling on the past and all he's lost. Theeen, he'd probably go all emo and inform her of her own morality, and try to leave. ._. He's got issues. xD
