[atrb=valign, top] "Don't worry, my dear darlings. Your prince has arrived. No need to applaud, I do know how my audience adores me." Huh? Who the hell do you think you are? Tch. Are you famous? The nerve of these people! Being ridiculed and treated this way! Of course he was famous. Of course he was. What were these people doing? Living under a rock their whole lives? Pitiful. Absolutely pitiful, he thought. The audacity of them. Of course, he was important! He just. He just. Ugh! How dare they! He was kind enough to grace them with his arrival and they dare to scoff at him! Their prince. The one and only person that was right to be considered a prince!
Embarrassed. Shamed in public! People really could be oh so cruel. Well, maybe they didn't say it to his face. But still. It hurt! It hurt to have to hear see it clear on their faces. He could tell absolutely what had happened in those heads of theirs. They were criticizing him. Mocking him. Tch, he didn't need to speak to him or anything. No one could ever understand! No one could understand why he was! He stormed out of the inn, his hands clenched into his fists at his sides. He had never felt so ashamed! He dared them to make a fool of him again. Dared them to mock Noël Rousseau!
Not that it was anything that was particularly new to him at all. He stormed out, heading in the direction of his household. He threw the door open, flinging his apron to the side. Dismissing his mother slightly when she had asked if he was alright. She knew how he would get when he had his little tantrums but still, she seemed to feel obligated to ask anyways. He sniffled, lifting his arms and the sleeves of his clothes rubbing against his eyes as he tried to keep from crying. Crying was lame. He was cool. Like really cool.
Noël moved a bit miserably, throwing the door open to his twin's room. Stumbling slightly before he flung himself onto the other's bed. Only Nihel understood him! His life was such a tragedy considering the fact that he was treated just oh so horribly. He hated this town! No one knew how to appreciate him! He was clearly too advanced for the rest of them. He sniffled, hugging a pillow close to his chest as he buried his face into the fabric. Noël could only wail louder and louder in a desperate attempt to earn his brother's attention.
"Niiiiiheeeeel! Can you believe it? People are treating me so horribly! They didn't even acknowledge my existence! |
[/b]" He sobbed, sniffling slightly as he clutched the pillow closer to his chest. He rolled back and forth as he whined. Noël was always like this. Always. He knew maybe he was making a big deal out of nothing but it definitely was a big deal to him! It mattered to him! " Why do you have so much crap on the floor? I could have tripped and then I could have died!" He saw them outside his window, walking happily together with other just as joyous creatures. Too much chatter. Although some might remind him that people where he used to live are louder and more gross than Primula inhabitants, but it was a different kind of loud. A different kind of chatter.
The Primula type of chatter made his mind ache. And not in the good way, like when he was working on his projects. No, the people of Primula quite frankly pissed him off. Then again, what didn't.
"Tch."
He was taking a break - playing chess against himself, because there were no one else in the nearest vicinity that could even match up to him so that he didn't feel completely bored - when his older brother by two minutes practically plunged in through the closed door.
"Didn't I tell you I close that for a reas-" but before he could even finish his sentence, Noël had firmly planted himself on his bed with a pillow hitched between his arms.
"It's not crap, it's books. You should pick one up some day."
Nihel sighed, placing his final move on the crystal chess board in front of him, then leaned forward and looked over to the lump of flesh tossing and turning on his bed so that it was all messed up.
"Could you please not tear that pillow, mom got a new one for me this morning," he said, walking over to his closet and throwing a weathered pillow at his feet, one of his old ones that had ended up too many times in Noël's grasp. Nihel was used to his brother coming into his bedroom as if it was his own, because they shared almost everything, but he didn't like sleeping on a tattered pillow because the older twin couldn't restrain himself. "Use that one if you're so intent on destroying something."
Another sigh escaped Nihel's lips as he sat down on the bed as best he could, next to his twin brother.
"What happened?" Not that he didn't know the townfolk could be bothersome and annoying, but something had probably happened. He wasn't even sure if he should ask, because he was probably in for another one of his brother's rantings - and they could end up long and tiring.

It wasn't fair! He didn't deserve being treated like this. It wasn't fair that people continued to treat him in this way. They had been living in Primula for a total of the entire year and just. The nerve of some people. He couldn't stand it. He just couldn't. Noël sniffled, clutching the pillow a bit closer to his chest. He pulled it closer to him, hiding his face in the fabric as he peeked up at his younger brother. Tears bubbling up in his eyes before he hid his face over again. No crying. No crying. He wasn't cry. It was u- uh... just a contact!
His contact was just really out of place. Not that he was crying. Granted he didn't even had contacts or anything. "I'll pick one up once I decide that reading is cool. |
[/b]" Besides, there was nothing that could be done about it. He stopped reading for the most part. And besides. Nihel always read hard books. It was cool and whatever but it wasn't like he could understand anything about it. He sighed, robotically lifting his hands from the pillow to take the other one that he had smothered. Jerk. He sniffled, rocking back and forth on the bed. Stupid Nihel. He just thought so much of himself didn't he? It wasn't fair at all. Well, it wasn't fair for something like that. " They were so insulting. Made fun of me cause they thought I wasn't cool or nothin'." He replied, moving to sit up a bit miserably. His hair was in a mess too, he thought. Whatever. He was at home anyways. He could always fix it when he needed to fix it. He didn't doubt that he had to go back to work eventually. Definitely no way that Nini would let him stay in his room all day. Plus he really needed this job... " Don't you think I am cool, Nihel?[/b]" He held onto the pillow tighter, though it had for the most part had been suffocated by his arms. It flopped over his arms, lips turned into a pout before he moved to poke the other in the arm. " Tell me I am.[/b]" He flailed his arms, moving to shake his brother by his shoulders. Flinging the pillow to the side. He let go then, flopping back onto the bed. Sighing as he moved to cover his face with his hands. Nothing that he could do, he thought. " what were you doin' anyways, man?[/b]" [/style] [STYLE=font-size:10px; padding-left: 12px; font-weight: bold]words: 418! tags: agent terra bond + nihel! notes: ugh, bad post! credit: template made by oxymoron! of btn[/style][/td] [td][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:courier new; font-size:10px; line-height:13px; border: 2px #708090 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;] [/style] [/td][/tr][/table][/center]

Nihel squinted over his shoulder at the twin behind him. What had he even been up to that made him so upset - not that Noel was never upset, it was just a little much right now.
With a sigh, Nihel stood up from the bed and went over to one of his cabinets that he had told his brother to never open, containing a tiny refrigerator. They were locked anyway, so it was useless, unless he wanted to destroy his furnishings. Well, besides the pillow, anyway.
He unlocked the cabinet, opened the little fridge door and retrieved a small container with what he knew to be Noel's absolute favourite ice cream, strawberry flavoured, and then handed it to the sniffling man on his bed.
"Here. Eat this. And stop sobbing on my bed sheets."
The twins' relationship was an odd one to strangers. They would fight and quarrel, whine and bother each other, but deep down they both knew they could rely on one another. Always. That was the fine thing about their 'friendship'.
They probably wouldn't have been friends if they didn't share the same mother, but because they did, they loved each other. And the love was so deep that they didn't even need to confirm or deny statements of any sort to know what the other one felt or thought about themselves.
He moved to sit at the side of the bed again, leaning back. But his peace was disturbed when Noel suddenly decided to shake him furiously by his shoulders. The younger twin was about to knock the other off of himself, when the shaking stopped and he heard the pillow being flung somewhere behind him.
"You know there's no one more cool than you in this town, Noel." It didn't feel weird saying that, but a little unecessary, as his twin's moodswings were constant and elevated most of the time, and he knew that he would be okay in no time. That was probably one of the things he liked about him, the ability to bounce off of things. "Don't take the things they say to heart." His brother was just overdramatic, unlike himself. But then again, the townsfolk was pretty ludicrous.
"I was doing research," he shrugged at the question of what he had been up to. "But I was taking a break, so it's fine. Your intrusion, that is. Not your destruction of my property."
He looked over his shoulder again, glancing down at his brother, while leaning on his arms.
"Want to look at what I've discovered?" he asked, genuinely wanting his twin to understand why he was doing what he was doing. But Noel rarely ever cared about it, which was why he always insisted on bringing him outside, towing Nihel behind him to places or people he didn't even care for.
"I'm not near a breakthrough yet, though. That might take some time." His eyes wandered over to the computer on the table next to his window. That was where he did all of his studies and analyses, and then stored his findings in the various cabinets around the room, which was really just filled with bookcases, cabinets, his computer and the bed Noel was currently thrashing in.
"I could use a longer break," he said suddenly, placing his elbows on his knees, resting. "Why don't you make tea?"
