An increasing amount of strange incidents did its job of keeping Felix out of the house. And yes, he minded. And yes, he normally wouldn't have bothered but circumstances for him were different now. Sort of. He was getting less and less inclined to being at home and seeing his house slowly come apart because he couldn't work up enough money to get it fixed made him sick to the stomach, add the fact that he possessed little to no skill to manage fixing it up himself. So in his head, it made sense that he wasn't home right now.
Felix took the crumpled piece of paper out of his coat pocket, smoothing it out carefully. He read through the words on it and then stuffed it right back.
He looked around the street outside, as he stood in front of the unfamiliar building. The paper said "Baccar Inn and Tavern" --and so did the building's sign. Which meant that he was in the right place. His watch read 6:00PM, which meant that it was the right time too.
Not long after, he left the cool autumn air outside to finally enter the place. His eyes scanned the general area, until he finally found a cozy looking spot where the people were sparse. He sat himself down, and pulled the note out again.
He flattened it out on the table, and then took his hands away from it as if it contained some contagious decease that he would catch if he hadn't. But it was pretty harmless, although slightly cryptic in nature, especially since he'd found in one of the recently returned library books he was double checking before shelving.
"Hey there, Mr. Librarian. If you'd like to have dinner with me this weekend, meet me at Baccar Inn and Tavern at 6PM. See you then."
"Ridiculous." He muttered outloud as he glared at the piece of paper in front of him. It wasn't as if he needed company after all. He had his own, better, reasons and he was perfectly fine by himself. He'd just never set foot in this place before and was curious as to how the food tasted.
Plus , he added in his head, if my house were to continue at that pace of deterioration he'd have to ask how much it cost to sleep here for a few nights.
